tangs in general are prone to ich but some are hardier. blue tangs generally don't get ich easily. powder blue tang on the other hand is a different story . look for a healthy specimen, in shops observe their swimming patterns, you can see which ones are swimming well and eating well (ask the lfs to feed or sometimes if the tank has red algae, it will peck on it. look at their general complexion, bright blue will be best, some have paler coloration, this tells you that the fish is in a highly stressed environment. best if you get from reefer instead since their usually very tame and feeding pellets.

If they are breeding on your wool, they should be breeding even more elsewhere. It might be that youll kill them from washing but rmb that they breed exponentially

Thats very unfortunate. Chromis are known to be agile swimmers, and gullible eaters. I have one before who would 'standby' whenever i walk around the tank. Theyll just zip around the tank where food is concern. The most kiasu fish i had lol.

Cheap leds does not meet the required spectrum for maintaining lps. Look for higher end ones like ecoxotic PAR38 or maxspect series for beginners, its affordable and even cheaper second hand.

T5 is cheaper than led in the initial cost but will have to incur maintenance cost in the form of bulb changingbevery 6 to 9 months due to decay. More spectrumnincluding UV and spread is good. Also uses more electricity. Generates heat but if placed high enough or running with a decent chiller will be okay. They rarely come with auto timers and programmable dimmers. Whole lot of good info here. I have never been thoroughly successful with curing ich. My last battle with ich was a close win but in the end, my tangs succumbed with other fishes .

Get a separate tank small one will do, use the same salinity as your main tank, make sure to have air bubbles running in it. Dose phytoplankton. Lastly put in a live rock or 2 and some of your live sand. Pods will breed in it in a matter of days.

End up being food for my fishes lol
