  1. Wah... nice. Must visit your new place! [emoji4][emoji106]
  2. Trying to grow Caulerpa in the display.
  3. New addition - hope it can hold its color. Anyone can ID what is this SPS?
  4. I believe the water in the chiller drop to the temperature that cause the chiller to start chilling. As there are no flow, the water quickly chilled and the temperature dropped so fast that the chiller could not detect to stop immediately.
  5. Woke up to discover the chiller display 25.0 degree Celsius when I had set to 27.0 degree Celsius. Upon investigation discover the chiller pump is not working (despite the controller indicates it is on). Fortunately, I had a spare pump. After hooking up the spare, the chiller indicate 29.5 degree Celsius. Corals and live stock seems okay. Though I cannot find my peppermint shrimp. Hopefully no casualties.
  6. Add a Yellow wrasse. I believe it is the natural predator of AEFW. Unfortunately, it probably also wipe out all the pods.
  7. I believe it was won. I did not see tiny dots moving on the acroporas. Although I did not witness the yellow wrasse pecking the SPS.
  8. Strangely, the corals looks horrible but continue to growth slowly. Green Stag: color changed but still growing with PE Blue Stag: became light blue but still growing slowly Looks like a millie but was told it is an acropora: base is encrusting the rock True optic fibre poci: Best color and growth by far Blue digitata: top and base are growing new branches but the middle STN Yellow poci: Growing well SPS can still grow when they look horrible. Any idea what is the problem?
  9. It is a bare bottom. Tankmates: yellow wrasse, coral beauty, blue leg hermit carb, peppermint shrimp & snails. Maybe it was devoured.
  10. Thanks... Recently added a lawnmower blenny but it vanished on the second day. Missing for 4 days already. Thought it might have jumped and search everywhere around but found nothing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Latest addition to keep the algae in check! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hope the yellow wrasse will keep the AEFW in check. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. After weeks of pondering, why some of my SPS are not doing well when all the parameters are in place. I finally found the issue... AEFW!
  14. Green stag losing color but polyps still extended. Anyone any idea?
  15. LCK201. Took some time but it wiped out all the aiptasia. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Latest FTS Have been dosing Coral Up (Caribsea) for about a month and I am surprise at some of the SPS growth. Especially the blue digitata and radioactive birdnest.
  17. Some close up. (pardon the poor photography) Tenuis Radioactive Birdnest (new) Forest Fire Pink Stylo/Pocci A Acropora Green Stag (new) Blue Stag (new)
  18. IMO... Kessil AP700 (with T5) combo Jebao DC 15000 Never used Maxspect Gyre XF130 but is 1 enough?
  19. Nope, I did not use a PH controller. Just bubble count and timer. As I am using timer, I need good circulation in the reactor when the solenoid is off. This is to ensure that the effluence is released. Otherwise, it may calcify on the circulating pump or along the tubes and choke the effluent. You may want to check with someone using PH probe for advise on the calcium reactor.
  20. Yes, assuming you use good salt mix with RO/DI water (with 0 TDS). It also reduce the bad stuff like phosphate, nitrate/nitrite... etc. I do about 15% water change weekly.
