  1. Here's another two of my fav "Fanciful" collection...

    RR Multicolor Matrix

    attachicon.gifIMG_0626a.jpg

This beauty took me around 4 months to develop it's multi-color display...yellow coralite ring, purpish near the top branch and a mixture of lime green, pink and orange pigmentation across the lower body part ! Sadly am not skillful enough to capture all this vivid color from my Canon DSLR, but am very happy it has gone to someone who truly appreciated it :)

    and....

    OBLIVION

    attachicon.gifIMG_0606b.jpg

Kudos to the one who name this Sps...it's truly an appropriate name for it...Oblivion !

I love this piece because the sweet pinkish-carnation patches shows up uniquely in various parts of the body...

    Truly Extreme!

    Well done bro.

  2. I have an 8-inch tall a. echinata colony (aussie waters) and after a few relocations in my tank, I find it prefers a mid to high level position on my rockscape, turbulent flow but not as demanding of it compared to the likes of its Australian cousins A.spathulatha and strawberry shortcake (A. microclados) and lighting with a bluish spectrum.

Typical SPS coral requirements i.e. stable dkh levels, clean water, etc naturally apply.

On a side note, australian SPS corals regardless of species are more demanding of clean and stable conditions compared to their Indonesian counterparts.

Bro honkit, thanks for sharing your experience.

I might look out for the beauty again.

    Cheers

  3. You have a wonderful collection of montiporas.

Regarding a. Echinatas in particular those from Australian waters, they have a preference for 20kk lighting and are docile corals in contrast to more invasive acropora species such as a. Millepora and a. Yomgei.

    Thank you honkit.

Can you share more on this beauty requirement?

    Cheers

  4. Tht79, I am referring to weihsiang's Sps pics. Anyway , you are right, Aussie echinata is the most challenging Sps of all. Maybe we can share a nice one in the next Aussie shipment?

    Cheers,

    Cheers

  5. The echinata on the 3rd picture is pure excellence. White body with blue tips bottlebrush. Sad that I can't keep one alive for more than 6 months.

    Yt' thats A.horrida.

I had lost my echinata two months ago during a chemical warfare in my tank.

    Echinata is truly an challenge!

  6. Overwhelmed with so many poison here. But sadly only can admire as skill still not there yet.

With Passion and Patience, get around to learn frm sps senior, one day you will master the skill.

    Very poisonous thread indeed.

You may need to get some more antidote"sps" to encounter the poison.

    Nice deepwater pics :)

    What lights do u use tht79 ?

Im using 7sets of my self-customize full spectrum Par38 & one se250w mh.
