  9. Hey you have got an awesome setup. I have a dormant 4x2x2 tank waiting to be revived. May I ask how is your Hailea 66A working for your tank? I cannot decide if I should repair my artica 1/4 or get a new Hailea HS90. How is your BM skimmer, I'm thinking of getting that or Skimz BN161. Please share your experience, thanks!
  10. That's cheap! Other shops selling 6 red. Try feeding it damsel or chromis. I feed mine 3 damsels once a week. Brine shrimp is not enough to sustain it.
  11. Ooi, don't like that lah. Today is only 23rd, still a week to pay day leh.
  12. I have some chaeto to give away. Please pm me if you are interested. I'm located at Sembawang.
  13. I bought the Kamoer Dosing Pump from Aquarium Artist. Good price at Aquarama (20% off) and very easy to use. Not sure if there is still stock or not. Not sure about other types of dosing pump. This one allow user to set "Auto Dose", set pump number, number of times to dose and total ml to dose per day and it will auto calculate and dose for you. It even automatically spread the dosing between pumps so the additives do not mix. You could also customize your own settings via "Manual Dose". Good stuff!
  14. Hi Roger First, read this: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php Then use this: http://reef.diesyst.com/flashcalc/flashcalc.html Hope that helps
  15. Anything interesting at LCK and Coral Farm this week? Happy weekend shopping everyone!
  16. That is a good question. I am sure we all have hits and misses. How many fishes have to die before we find one that survive for a while? Even then, how do we define happiness in the fish? I have 1 powder blue and 1 hybrid tang died on me before this current powder black in my 4x2x2 for the last 6 months. Is this ethical or not? If I calculate the number of livestocks that died on me in my 4x2x2 tank, I think it would out-count the typical impulse buy nano with a few re-stocking. Death count wise, is he more ethical than me? Let's not jump on the push cart shop so quickly. They are only trying to make a living. After so many pages of "discussion", who is going to educate them? Why not make this thread more useful by suggesting ideas and help them build a successful business model? Eg. 1. Re-look into the type of fishes that can be kept. - Damsels - Clowns 2. Come up with a leaflet with instruction on weekly water change 3. Get them to sell pre-mixed salt water in bags so it is easy for their customer to do water change My 2 cents
  17. Congrats! How long does it take to custom make and ship? I shall go 306B Punggol Place to look for the brightest unit!
  18. Lol! Maybe thats why he is not updating it as often as he should!!!
  19. Wow! That is great news for reefers here in sg! Thanks for the link, smyee!
  20. The light fixture maker's thread can be found here: http://www.cmfish.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=63865&extra=page%3D2&page=1 A good alternative to the existing LED fixtures that can be bought in Singapore. The only problem would be warranty and shipping. taobao.com is a fantastic place to get your equipments within China, fast and cheap delivery.
