  1. Thanks for the info Robe! Will keep that in mind as well. Anyway, tank reinforced with eurobracing and Han Teck's reinforced silicon joints.
  2. Hi! Take into consideration the weight of the tank, LR, water and sand. Can consider kapur or chenggai wood for material. Think you're asking about making a stand right? Coz suspended wall shelf not very strong and not very advisable. Just my 2cents worth. Anyone can help wrt to where to buy materials? Cheers!

    MH reflector

Hi Travy, think you can contact our sponsors for the reflector replacements. Probably DrEvil, Horizon Ventures...
  4. Haha! Got about 2" from eurobracing to the overflow box glass partition! Thanks for the info, CalciumReef!
  5. Thanks for the info CalciumReef! What if I located the wavebox at the same end as the overflow but calculated the amplitude of the wave and designed the height of the overflow teeth so that at max and min amplitude there's water into overflow and the backing glass of the overflow is made higher to prevent water splashing over? Will that work you think?
  6. Hi ettin, May wanna contact Haaanzii...he's got some to give away.
  7. Hi! I think ettin looking for smaller parabolic reflector. He trying to get one cut to size. Wah...project in gear already!
  8. First time I've heard of something ike that happening! Your chromis must have had the wits scared out of him! My condolences...
  9. Hi! Was actually thinking of combining the wavebox and stream as well...just wondering whether all stream or wavebox and stream combination would work better. Attached rough diag of the tank...basic rockwork will be island, valley and reef drop-off. Inlet pipes aimed towards overflow and wavebox on one side and stream on the other. Any comments or advice? Thanks! ps. Apologies for hijacking your thread... All the best hooking up your wavebox! Keep us updated! TANK.doc
  10. Hi, So how's the going so far? Would this be appropriate for an sps tank? Deciding on either the wavebox or streams.
  11. Hi, If the quality is about the same, how about the price? Any vast difference?
  12. Say! Just a thought, ettin! Have you tried contacting some of our sponsors ie. DrEvil and Horizon Ventures wrt your enquiry?
  13. No prob ettin! Ask on! Anybody out there can help?
  14. Wow! Beautiful setup! More pics please!
  15. Hi Weisoon! Glad to hear from you! Haha! Looks like we'll have to see who'll be earlier...will probably only transfer in Dec when I finally move into my flat. In the meantime will start cycling sometime in June during the scool hols...only have time then...teaching lah! Wah, putting the frame together was back-breaking work man considering the fact that the carpenters were still putting in bits of carpentry work at my flat, so had to assemble it on the floor of the study. Was squatting there assembling for about an hour when I stood up and my back was killing me! Took me 2 hours to complete! Phew! But seriously, thanks so much for your advice and help! May need to drop by to get some pointers on the piping if you're available!
  16. Eh? How come the cylons chasing Luke Skywalker and gang now instead of Apollo and gang? They related huh?

  21. Hi Izzat, Actually just dropped by Teck Cheong Aluminium at King George's Ave at the recommendation of Weisoon. Thanks Weisoon! They have modular system.ie. aluminium frames with lateral slots on all sides and can be joined at right angles to each other using L-brackets. Pretty easy and flexible to use coz adjustable. Also can be attached to roller rail so the whole frame can slide along the rail. Cost-wise quite reasonable...less than $200 for frame that can accomodate 2x250 fixtures and 2 T5 fixtures by DrEvil together with roller and track.
  22. Hi, Anyone know where I can go to have an aluminium frame made for mounting my MH and T5s? Quite similar to what AT has. 4 footer coming together now that house renos are almost complete and tank already delivered.
  23. Ooops! Meant trigger should be safe from choc chip...but your's damn big man...6"! Not too sure now!
