  1. ...and here's how the tunzes are controlled. Wiring still very messy...gotta clean up!
  2. Viewed from the end of the tank...facing the bedroom corridor.
  3. A closer look at the tunze...using the tunze magnetic holder.
  4. Just spent the afternoon filling up the tank with water and doing a system run. Here's a pic of the tank with the tunzes running. 1st up - view from the study.
  5. This coupled with your 2 atomic bombs, we can declare S'pore a nuclear power!
  6. Sure! But the actual sifu's weisoon! He taught me!
  7. Will just use a little powerhead to blow during weekly cleaning.
  8. Think that helped...the activated carbon.
  9. Happened to my 2' once. Stupid anemone decided to take a walk when I was out and got sucked into the seio. Got an urgent call from my mum to tell me "your anenemone (yeah! that's what she said...anenemone) got stuck in the pump!" Rushed home (already almost 2hr) and saw the bugger half sticking out of the powerhead. Removed the powerhead, did emergency water change (abt 40%) and the water was almost clear. Fish and livestock didn;t seem too bothered. Did another 20% water change the next day. Everything fine and no casualties! Really heng man!
  10. Hi BH! Not cool lah! Alot others so much better. Just taking my time. Of course drop by whenever you're free. You've got my number. All the best for your prelims!
  11. Another view from the side. Can see the tunze magnetic holder from here.
  12. Did a little rockscaping. Intend to have a drop-off and an island. Not enough rocks though...lucky I've got another 15kg here cooking. Using 2 tunze 6000...1 in a tunze rock and the other with magnetic holder.
  13. Here's the bucket of rocks ready to go in. All dead rocks already. Scrubbed them and cooked them. Hopefully got rid of them critters!
  14. Here's how the equipment cabinet will look...more or less.
  15. Here's the deltec Pf600s Ca reactor from weisoon. Also mounted it onto a stand layered with a rubber mat.
  16. The pipings for the chiller. Less piping run from the previous set-up and using 45deg elbows. Also added a quick release coupling on the pipes at the bulkhead of the cabinet where the pipes disappear into the hidden piping run to chiller. Thank goodness for rotary tools which weisoon and I used to saw off the piping at that confined space.
  17. Had the outlet hole at the sump bulkhead increased to 1.5" for the inlet of the pump. Here's how the ball valves are mounted. Made a stand out of the leftover wood and screwed the clip onto it. The wood was wrapped in laminating sticker in blackwood finish and the base siliconed to prevent spilled water from seeping in.
  18. Had a little materials left over from the renovation and decided to make some stands for the piping mounts/clips and other equipment. Here's a pic of how the piping is held. BTW, the pipe leads to an md55 for the beckett.
  19. Here's the new sump in place...with ht increased by 6" and width by 2". Took 4men to change the sump with the limited crawl space under and beside the stand. Thanks Gouldian!
