  1. I'm on 9004 at the moment and even with thick skimmate, my collection cup fills up within 4-5 days. 9001 has a way smaller collection cup and this might really be a problem.
  2. Bro, how deep is your tank and which beamswork model are u using?
  3. Which clowns are u having? Rumour has it that common clowns are the hardest to host with anemones cos they need really big ones before they are willing to host. For true perc, they host quite well with most anemones and corals. Mine hosted my Green BTA within a day. Hmm.. For anemones, I would stay away from carpet (chances of eating fish quite high) and Sabae (moved around all the time). If u are asking for corals that live peacefully with clowns, almost all corals will since clown fishes are reef safe.
  4. Hmm.. Any chance of swooping the skimmer and carbon location? I wouldn't just remove the carbon. In case something really happens. Your skimmer's water level might be causing the issue too. Where's the top of the bubbling getting to within the skimmer?
  5. Bros, TS using a oceanfree tank that's only 34L. That's 1/4 the size of a 2ft cube.
  6. Haha clownfish are a funny lot anything makes them happy they host.
  7. He's wiping out my algae at the same time so I guess for now should be alright. Will start supplementing dried algae soon.
  8. Wah! Dun say anthias. I think every fish also one TDO. These days my clowns and even YT will wait for the food inside the feeding cylinder. Lol!
  9. They have 1 pair that's paired up already. Another 1 swimming alone I think.
  10. Bro .. Time for some seahorses in your refugium I see your nemo in there too.
  11. Haha yea man! It's the holiday season. Wonder if Christmas wrasses will be in soon to celebrate the festive season. Hmm.. AM has LPS and fish shipment recently. Still quite a fair bit of stock
  12. Hmm.. Not sure if I'm getting it right. But the bubble coral seems to be stretching out to get light when your lights are on. Is it bigger in size when in that state then wen its in the full state?
  13. Haha good habit to always call and ask first or check out the weekly updates. Hmm.. Which lfs u go?
  14. I think ultimately they won't go "hunting" for each other. But the worry comes when your anemones touch each other and their sting kills. So if u do want to keep more then one anemone, make sure u have more then 1 suitable spots (read up more online about what anemone craves. Usually moderate wave with moderate lighting for the tentacles and a cave like place for its "body" as its "body" doesn't like waves and lights) in the tank to and place them there to minimize their chance of moving around. Do ensure that these spots are far apart too. Always estimate the out stretched size of an anemone as 2-3 times the size U see in the lfs.

    T5

I used to have 1 diy T5 lightset bought from a reefer here 9 years ago. The diy should start with the frame which forms the backbone of the structure. One popular choice would be the big plastic trunking that has a square cross section of 2"x2"x2". Aquamarin do sell those waterproof T5 connectors that u can use to fix on your T5 bulbs. Get 4 of those. 2 on each side of the trunking spaced apart so there is just nice space for a tight fit of your bulb. U can cut a rectangular hole in the side of the trunking to attach this connector. The last thing u need would be to get a suitable ballast. Most hardware shops should have (~$60). Place this ballast inside the trunking box and connect up all the wires. There u have a 2xT5 lightset
  17. The price is just unaffordable. >.<
  18. Maine life ultra pink super nice!!!! Not mentioning many other interesting pieces.
  19. Pretty pretty mandarin. don't think my tank can support one more mandarin else I would love to pair mine up
  20. Mandarins are beautiful and hardy fishes. But like others bros have said, they only eat pods. So although they are an interesting fish to have in your tank, do think of a way to cultivate your pods to sustain the eating habits of the mandarin. Else go for the 6-line
  21. I dun think they will be willing to put a 5 digit fish into their big aquarium. Putting it in a smaller species tank won't be good either as if anything happens to that fish, that's 1 exhibit down.
  22. Those clowns should be common clowns (Ocellaris clowns). Nice to see them paired up nicely.
