  1. Thanks for the photo and reply. Helpful info as I am planning to go for similar size tank.
  2. Nice tank and inspiring. Care to take and share some top view photos showing the IOS compartment? Btw, how many Hydra52HD are you using?
  3. Hi KenYee, Thanks. I was concerned that when I am out of town & unable to do the WC, at least the skimmer would help to maintain the water quality.
  4. Hi All, Need advice for protein skimmer and RO/DI for a 20gal tank. I plan to have a IOS tank. a. Not sure which one to get Tunze 9002 or Hydor Slim Skim. b. As for RO/DI, any recommendation that is both reasonably priced and still do the job? Thanks & Cheers
  5. Hi Nooblenny, you have a beautiful tank. Congrats!! Can take a photo from the top of the tank? I am planning to have a 24" x 15" x 15" saltwater tank with just an IOS. Would appreciate if anyone could advise on planning for an effective filtration system with IOS setup. Thanks!!
  6. Hi! Good news is that my tank is currently down to about 5 aiptasias from about 50 at one stage. It's about a month now since I bought the 2 peppies. I must say that they did a great job.
  7. Hi Again! I just witnessed myself one peppy attacking the aiptasia. I am thinking of getting 2 or 3 more peppies just to get rid of the nuisance aiptasias.
  8. Hi! Good news! This morning I noticed 2 more medium aiptasias were gone. IMHO, peppies do eat but in my case not at the rate that I expected them. There is about almost 20 something(big & small ones) on just one liverock. Don't know how long it will take them to clear them. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
  9. Hi! my peppies are too timid. So far not much improvement. It did not work for me.
  10. Hi andtsg, enjoyed viewing your post of your lovely tank. Simply beautiful.
  11. Just an update... Yesterday I noticed that there used to be a medium sized aiptasia which had its stem coming out from behind the live rock and now it is gone. The peppies are still hiding behind the live rock. My observation is that peppies are shy and timid. One of the peppies tried to venture out this morning but when a fish swam pass it, it retreated back. Even a small yellow goby was able to cause it to retreat. Will give them more time and hopefully hunger pangs were give them more courage to come out and eat the rest of the aiptasias. Will keep you guys posted.
  12. It's almost a week now and both peppies not coming out at all although I could see them hiding behind the rocks... One just molted.
  13. Hi, I bought 2 peppermint shrimps yesterday from LCK 201 at New Tiew Crescent and both have gone into hiding. Similar experience as Boyington's post. Guess have to wait and see for another few days when they are hungry. Cheers
