    Yes my Filter sock i change it every week I find it more economical as compare to those overrated Auto fleece. Which need power supply to rotate it.

     

    Its been around for a long time, i just happen to try it out and have been using it ever since for 4years? it does not erode that badly and visually looks quite porous also. Alot of freshwater users also use i think. But since marine pure came out, that was the hype ah. 

    Oh yea auto fleece the only issue is cost and also need to fit in the sump when its already pre designed so abit of a bummer. Unless making new sump to incorporate. So far i've been using the old wool mechanical method, works like a charm still hahaha.

    Yea the blocks are brittle. crumble when i move them.  Haha i guess ur medias are quite sufficient alr. Nv personally tried out too much medias so i try to stick to one . Maxspect has new models tho but looks somewhat like the marine pure slabs. Does ur filter sock clog often?

    When the last time you clean up your medias?

    Beginning of the year. Not rlly clean but more like shake them up in a tub during water change and detritus falls off. Thats about it. I try to do that every few months if i notice alot of build up. Else I’ll just siphon detritus from the sump.
    Does your media erode and produce black powdering detritus?

    My beloved goldy that was killed by my emerald crab last year.
    Caught the emerald crab after lights off pinching on the torch, seems to be eating and slowly the torch died head by head.

    Had no choice but to call in an execution for the crab.
