  4. You should turn off UV when treating with medications, same for cupermine
  5. Be careful with adding live rock, as it may cause Amonia spike, and more important carry "unwanted" passengers in form of parasites into your system, so make sure you get them from a reliable source.
  6. All the staff is premium staff, that's the only way it should be
  7. BTW: Just to relate to previous messages on this post: UV does not prevent nor eliminate ich, a good UV may slow down a breakout, but you just buy some time, if not treated your fish will not survive.
  8. Tank and major equipment still up for sale IMG_2532.mov
  9. Selling a 4f tank + equipment, save you cash on live stock
  10. 40-60 ppm is not high. You did not mention how old is your tank. To mitigate, you can reduce feeding, and do 10-15% every 2-3 weeks to lower nitrate level. Hold off on chemicals if you can, unless you have an algae problem, which I doubt. This Nitrate level does not have any impact on fish. Good luck.
  11. I have a 4 feet tank, 2y old, 10mm glass, with cabinet and sump for $450, if you r interested
  12. If u use seachem, use their test kit, I only had (not good) experience with API, the colors are hard to read. Give a call to fresh N marine, I got my kit for them. As I wrote, ich is survival machine, don't make any shortcuts as it will come back again. I fought this parasite for 2 long years in a 3-4 months cycle
  13. Sorry to hear that, but no worries, you have taken a first important step moving you fish to a hospital tank, keep monitoring Amonia and Nitrite levels in your hospital tank. Regarding Cupramine, follow the instructions for dosing, raise Cupramine level up to 0.5mg/l gradually (over a week+), observe the fish and see if you are active and eating, very important, If you use Seachem, get the Seachem test kit and check Cupramine level twice a day while dosing. Be careful after water changes as you will need to top-up Cupramin, always measure before you top up and calculate how much needs to be added. Recommend a 3 week cycle with 2 weeks break in between, second round you can dose a lower level of 0.3 mg/l and observe if any ich is visible. good luck man.
  14. Then most probably it came from the sand, unlikely bacteria blooming, this may come in certain condition way later. Glad things worked out for you, populate slowly. Bye.
