Hello fellow reefers,
I have recently fallen in love with this hobby online and I know it will be worth getting my hands on. Before you guys start telling me how a 10 gallon is not ideal for a beginner, I know. But I like the challenge.
Here is a picture of setup.
My tank have just finished cycling and nitrates are currently at 20ppm/-
I got 4 astreas and 4 nassaurius snails as my CUC.
I have an IOS at the back with three compartments however I have not put in any kind of filtration media or what sort, just a return pump from chiller to display tank. I was hoping to ask
1) What kind of filtration is best for a 10gallon? chemipure blue, filter wool?
2) What is the most affordable lighting to keep lps and softies, and sps in the future. The lighting I have is provided together with the tank and it has no brand or anything stated. However it is the same tank found in Pinnacle on display against the wall (?)
I have owned a firefish for a day and it died and I noticed it has scraped its bodies and it was bleeding. My guess is it has hurt himself while hiding. (may or may not be true, im not a doctor)
I've had a true percula clown for two days and I woke
up in the morning and it was on the floor, all dried up. [emoji17]
Having a little post-traumatic fear now at how unlucky I am to have caused two fishes to lose their lives under my rookie care. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Any critism will also be appreciated as I am
willing to learn and hopefully be a knowledgable reefer one day!
