  1. I tried to feed some that we humans eat and my fishes didnt even want to touch......in the end bought the ocean nutrition one and they gobbled.... Personal observation, other then the enhanced garlic flavor, the sea weed is moist. Whereas the ones we eat are mostly dried. they put in mouth and spit.....
  2. The good/bad thing about red sea reefers, its a "AIO" in a small package. But its pretty hard to work with, will take some time to get used to the tight space. Maybe in a year or so (tank only 4 months old), either i upgrade to a bigger tank, or custom a sump. Most likely have to redo the pipes too......
  3. Thanks bro. More like “mini” Acan corner lol. So far so good. 2 weeks ago NO3 was 20-25ppm. Now it’s down to 10. But I added almost a volley ball sized amount of chaeto to kickstart. Now whole sump full of algae too. I feed 2x a day. A bit of pellets in the morning. Night one cube of Mysis. If I’m home, will feed some nori sheets as a snack. Realized that seaweed will foul the water quite quickly. The thing about Red Sea refeers, the sump is a tad small. May have an issue when my tank is more heavily stocked. Will have to think of an alternative later.
  4. There are many good articles on the various methods of carbon dosing and dosage based on water volume online. If ur tank is new and though the high measurements, u don’t see anything wrong with the corals and fish. Maybe it’s a good idea to stick to the traditional way of WC and less feeding while the tank is stabilized. Heard of many tank crashes from fellow refeers with carbon dosing. Not doubting that it works and it’s the fastest way. But in ur case, may be a good idea to just wait out. My 1 cent...
  5. Sorry for ur loss bro. Great Peserverance! I actually think the most fun part is the setup part. Lol.
  6. Very detailed advice bro. Should make it a sticky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. May I know how old is ur tank? Cycling done? If still cycling, can add bacteria like Microbacter7 and many other brands of bacteria out there. If cycling done long ago. Water change is fastest, but must still find the root cause. Hope it helps.
  8. I will think simple sps like birds nest (many types), Pocci, montipora should be ok at 28C bt must be sure it doesn’t go beyond 28/28.5 lol. If not.....lol
  9. Looks good bro. Nice yellow Tang. Just a note. They can be territorial. Killed a few of my fishes with her blade.
  10. Nvm lah bro. Live and let live. I just complained to fellow reefer lol. What goes around comes around.
