  1. Looking for blue discosoma mushroom frag. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  2. Something seems to be moving the corals and rocks towards a specific spot in my nano tank. I only observed this recently. I’ve had my tank with 2 clown fishes (doesn’t seem to be paired) , tux urchin, small Pom Pom crab and turbo snail for about 2 years. Added a small scarlet hermit a month ago and then very recently a pajama cardinal, but havnt seen them move anything. Any idea what could have caused the shifting of the corals and small rocks ? I do notice a worm (bristle?) around that spot every now and then . Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  3. Hi I have had my tank for over a year already I think . Corals seem to be doing fine for first few months, only started to see these problems perhaps 4-5 months back after I came back from overseas . But I’ll look into the biomedia part . Thanks Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  4. Currently I dun hav test kits for these. Are these important for LPS and softies ? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  5. I’ve been topping up around 500ml of freshwater twice a week, so Maybi that causes swings . Will top up more regularly or look at auto top up equipment tks Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  6. I’m using a bulb that looks like that in attached photo. Don’t think there’s a brand but it’s 45watt. Can’t remember the ratio of blue to white led but can check tonight Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  7. Hi, I need some advice. My corals in my 14 gallon nano tank seems to be doing fine earlier but some of them started shrinking over the past few months. I’ve lost my torch, hammer, blasto, bubble coral, even hardy corals like gsp. The carolline algae seems to turn abit whitish too. The mushroom and toadstool seems to be growing though. I have a pair of clown fish, a banggai cardinal, 3 sexy shrimp, 1 tuxedo urchin. Parameter last tested are pH-8.2, ammonia-0, nitrate-10, Kh-8, salinity-1.024, temperature- 27.5 to 28.5 deg. I do about 20% water change weekly. Is there anything else I should be testing for ? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  8. $10 each. Opens up to 3-3.5inch. Self collection at Bukit Timah area Photo taken by iPhone, adjusted colour to match closer to original. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  9. Went to Iwarna yst. There’s quite a number of small yellow tangs there Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  10. Your tank looks awesome. Seems like the torches don’t sting the hammer corals? I read that sometimes they do Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  11. So I tried Formula one pellets, frozen mysis and recently O-megavital Micro (from Tropic marin). None seem to work for my yellow clown goby. I read that Cyclop-eeze seems to work best for them but I’m having trouble finding them at LFS (either out of stock or they simply don’t have the product). It’s been two weeks already, and he’s getting skinnier by the day. I hate to give up on him but also don’t want to be spending so much on different brands not knowing if they will work . Some advice would b appreciated.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  12. Is this a Bobbit? Should I try to get it out? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  13. Ya I’m not a fan of worms too. The one in my first photo (with antenna, maybe a Bobbit worm) is probably still in the rock after the freshwater dip. Currently isolated the rock in a pail, thinking of how to lure it out ... Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  14. Thanks, I did a freshwater dip and I got this flushed out, part of it at least cos it broke. The body is flat and soft, and looks more like a bristle worm ? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  15. Just saw this climbing out from my LR. Can someone help to ID this? Is it harmful to my tank? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  16. Mm I don’t really know exactly where it’s hiding and it had been quite fast the few times I spotted it. I think taking the rocks out will be the last resort . Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  17. Hi, Hoping to get some advice here. I spotted a hitchhiker crab at the bottom of my rock structure and tried a couple times to get out with my diy traps but failed. Trying the tilted glass/bottle method using a shrimp meat (attached photo) but usually the next morning , the meat will be gone, sometimes with some sand grains in it so something must have went it . Don’t think my cleaner shrimp was culprit cos I’ve never seen it successfully enter the opening which is slightly less than 2cm. Probably not my 2 Trochus snails too. So i think the crab could have eaten it and managed to get out . In my latest setup, the glass is pretty slanted , What could be the issue ? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  18. Thanks, that’s helpful info! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  19. Hoping to get some advice. I’m considering getting another fish for my 14gal tank (approx 50L), which is currently holding a pair of ocellaris clownfish and cleaner shrimp. Would a Royal gramma be suitable? I read that it may be a bit territorial but still considered reef-safe and compatible with clownfishes - as long as it is not housed with its own species. Also, does Royal grammas eat pellets? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  20. Thanks I intend to do that . Currently I’m using egg crate but it seems to block out some of the light . May try cutting acrylic sheets and drilling holes instead. Bought some tank cover holder clips through taobao . Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  21. Thanks for the idea, i might just diy something . The IM screen top kit seems pretty expensive .. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  22. I’m thinking of getting a tank top for my nano tank (IM peninsula 14) which has a rather odd dimension. Any diy ideas or where I can find a suitable tank top/ mesh cover? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  23. recently bought a small one for my nano tank cos it was the last one they have. And now it’s missing ,maybe eaten by my clownfish =\ Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  24. Mine’s a nano tank. So hopefully it doesn’t disappear that easily lol Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
