  1. Just tot I'd share my experience at a local Pet Shop at Koon Seng road just off Joo Chiat. Excellent place and great service. My Kiiten had his grooming done there at much lower cost than other pet shops... , plus they dun even need to send him to the vet to get KO before sending back to the SHop.... Gentle! Very encouraging to see pple@ pet shops treat pets that that way. Had bad experiences at other shops and even vets. Saw thay have a puupy for sale too....CUTE

  4. bro, although the pic is not clear, but I think they r apitasias. They are generally considered as pest when kept near your other corals as they have a powerful sting. I only know of 1 coral which is more lethal than them and that is the elegance LPS. They can be rid off by injecting kalkwasser deep into their tissue or can be removed by tweezers, clipping them near the base (they should release their grip from the bottom if done correctly. Else, u can keep them if u like them...hahaha...I once fed a neon tetra to it, gobbled it whole man!
  5. whoa very extensive in usage!!!! must cost a bomb....and add power consumption with use of pc some more... bro u intend to get 1???

  10. IMHO dun throw the LR away just because of smell bro (in fact never). If the LR is not cured, cure it yourself. Just dont add livestock yet. Patience.... let it cycle...leave just maybe an actinic on for 6hrs daily. Dont worry about the anti chlorine. Many Bros may advocate using it but I've stopped using anti chlorine for the past 7yrs!!! Corals doin fine for more than 5yrs (some even split on their own w/o me fraggin). Our local water is in good condition. Just make sure your SG is within range. Temperature too. Err regarding water change durin cyclin period... I dun believe its necessary. I'd leave everything on the LR. Except bryopsis algae. If have clean it all up!!!
  11. IMHO, anemones are best kept ONLY with MH lightings.... temperature wise 28C is tolerable but best at 26C(most specimens)..... They do move around to settle for the best spot so they tend to climb into overflow or even into the intake of your power head!!! So remember to add a strainer to the power head else you'll end up with stew!!!
  12. this is to prevent too slow a return, causing an overflow!!!!!
  13. well...generally the bigger the output of your pump/s, the bigger the down pipes.....but generally the tanks i design have at least slightly more than 1X the up pipe/s' diameter. eg If i use 2x20mm up pipes, my down pipe choice will be at least a 50mm
