Hi everyone, new Reefer here to share more about my journey! I started off in in Apr/May 2020 with a 30 x 30 x 30 FOWLR tank, and shortly after, thought about getting a bigger tank. Looking around, I decided to get a Waterbox tank from Aqtelier. As the 2 ft tanks in all the LFS including Aqtelier were not in stock and had a month’s lead time, I decided on getting the Marine X 90.3 Waterbox which they had in stock. Lorenzo from Aqtelier also shared with me his experiences and provided valuable advice on what equipment works and what doesn’t. Equipment below: Tank: Marine X 90 - (90 gal capacity including sump) Return pump: Skimz QP 12.0 Wave maker: AI Nero 5 Light: Radion XR15 Gen 4 Filtration: Clarisea SK5000 Protein skimmer: Skimz SN147 Chiller: Hailea HK-300A 2 Aug 21: After waiting for about two weeks, I finally got my tank! The sump was modified for the Clarisea filter, and cabinet came with extension sockets installed. During the set up at my home, Lorenzo packed the different electrical socket and firings neatly using a extension socket organiser to minimise the number of wires that can be seen visually inside the cabinet. Extra work in the beginning, but definitely worth the effort as I don’t need to see all the wires running around. Started to fill up the tank with RODI water prepared earlier on, and used the Nero wave maker to mix the marine salt. 3 Aug 21: I added the complimentary DD rocks (came with tank) that was constructed with a minimalist style. Two additional rocks were also added at the side of the tank with purpose of (1) housing an anemone in the future, and (2) growing a Zoa garden. The special grade live sand was added last, only after ensuring that all the salt have been mixed thoroughly. 4 Aug 21: I began the cycling of the tank with the PRODIBIO products, BioDigest & Bioptim.
