  1. 50.000 for a shrimp is expensive actually..I believe you can get it for 20.000. Always bargain for half of the asked price in sumenep..If they still don't want to lower the price, take a stroll to the other shops to check the lowest price you can get. Oh btw, don't get imported marine fish such as yellow/purple tang as it's more expensive here than singapore... Have you went to the marine exporter yet? I also have an LFS which you can checkout..the guy who runs it is an american dude.. http://www.aquarium-laut.com/ The store is around kebon jeruk area, west jakarta.
  2. Are you looking for equipments? Singapore is much cheaper since most of the shop here, bought the stuff from there.. If you are looking for LFS, there are plenty.. - Sumenep road. It's around central jakarta, thamrin area. Many LFS gather here. - If you are looking for LFS exporter which you can also buy in small quantity, go to Jalan surya utama 2N, No. 12, sunrise garden, west jakarta. You can find whole loads of corals and fishes here. Just ask the taxi driver to go to those places, they should already knew the way.
  3. so, even bringing in a bag full of Plastic BBs is a no no? To my understanding pellets are for air compressed gun and made from lead. Thanks, Frank
  4. I just wondering if airsoft is illegal in spore? I knew that there was an airsoft place at marine parade back in 2000 but I heard it's already closed. The thing is that I'll go to hongkong for a holiday and expecting to buy some airsoft accessories (not the gun) such as the magazin, Plastic BBs and stuff. Will I get detained when I get back to spore? Is it possible for me to ask the custom at the airport to hold my airsoft stuff while I'm at the country and get it back when I go back home? Oh by the way, I'm not local. I'm from Indo, so my trip will be HK first and then 2 nights staying in spore before going back to jakarta. Thanks, Frank
  5. come to indo and I'll show you some $4 corals
  6. Green Star Polyps is spreading wider. The upper part is where the polyp dropped itself on the live rock and started to make a new colony (notice the white lump?)
  7. How much is it? I bought a piece of orange yuma only for s$1 at my local lfs But I couldnt find other colour If I go to the coral exporter, they'll sell them using $$ as a conversion Last time I asked them, they asked s$10 a piece.
  8. Blue sponges recently starting to emerge. It's at the underside of the live rock so it doesnt get any light.
  9. I can't put anything anymore. No more space in there I'm still on the lookout for yummas and blue zoos though. They are so damn hard to find in here eventhough most of the corals sold overseas were from Indo. I guess all of the good ones have been sent to overseas. more pic
  10. I've got the green star polyps for 2 months and it's starting to grow. Notice the small lump?
  11. Thanks, I'm from jakarta. @ dazza, I've tried that before but the lunares were smart. I used a small hook but still I couldnt hook the buggers. Probably they already learned on how to nibble prawns without getting hooked from the previous experience. Remember that I got them fished from a friend.
  12. One of myy mistake as a beginer... The story began when those 2 lunares were given by my friend who loves fishing & diving and he caught them. I didn't know much about the fish that's safe to keep in the reef back then so I just put them in the tank. A month later I noticed about this fish behaviour from the books so I wanted to take them out of the tank. They are so damn hard to catch. In frustation that I'll never catch them, I just leave them in the tank up to now sooo.... one thing for sure, they won't do any harm to the corals BUT they will disturb the other invertebrates such as turbo snails, fan worms and shrimps. I have 3 fan worms that they don't disturb because they are already in the tank before I put the lunare in. After that, everytime I put new fan worms, they tried to eat the worm inside the tube. The worm escaped safely and built a new tube in other place but this time the lunare didn't disturb it anymore.
