hardcore way: cook the LRs as in boiling it with water justing like cooking driftwood for FW. Very extreme. But LRs will become DRs.

joining them is oso ok, bit if ur piping is to handle high water pressure safer to glue them up. Once glue its permanent, u will need to change new one if u decided to change the piping.

just buy any1 from hardware shop. I bought from a very old shop, cost around S$14. Its a breeze to cut PVC and those rubberhose. U will appreciate how conveinet it is and how clean the cut is. Sawing PVC is another way, but imagine u got so many to cut and re-cut. Nightmare. And as for glue, just ask them for PVC glue. The can, they show u will indicate PVC glue on them.

i believe he mod the impeller into something like needlewheel. Some people mod their impeller by drilling tiny hole on the blade of the impeller and secure fishing line thru each hole thus enabling the impeller to chop up the air bubble better.
