Anyone seen this selling in any LFS lately? Thanx in advance.

So far so good, getting fatter each day, eating pellets, live sea monkey, even nori sea weed. Feeding them with pellet is tiring One pellet by one pellet, used to flood, then the floor too much food, stress.... So mixing firefish with their purple cousins will not pose any problem? inter species whacking?

As I live rather near to sembawang beach, I used to use the sea water there for a year for my 1.5 ft nano. No algae problem and death, juz weekly 10 % water change . Let's juz say the LFS near my area are rather..... :pinch: Now trying salt mix though. So far so good. Ps: Did quarantined the NSW too. Just in case.

my Astraea snail juz turned turtle the other day, and passed away , so now much always keep counting daily where they are, 1, 2,3,4,5,6 .... I think maybe because they are smaller in size and not like those turbo snails which have the capability to overturn by it self....

is this the one ya mention? thanks thanks. Any special needs for the above fish? Do I need to supplement its diet with other food? Or juz the aglae in the tank. Thanks in advance.

I juz got 2 firefish, 2 months old liao. Been feeding Formula one marine pellet, so far so good. However, they prefer the food to be suspending, so if my pellet reached the ground, they will not touch..... So much feed a few pellet at a time to them... but lately, I have this problem of the smaller one is spitting out pellet, like too solid or hard to swalllow??? The bigger one had no problem though.

Pardon me for hijaking the tread. Any tips on how to place the power heads in the tank to maximise water flow? Oppsite one another? or at the top corners? cannot be too close to the sand bed rite? Currently using a 3ft tank.

Been an angler also, I will be to use bristle worm as a bait. Use either grub, or wat wat or sand worm is so much safer. But that is alot of worms man....

How long do ya dip in the fresh water? hrs?

pardon me, but wasn't they quite a good clean up crew? Had quite a few in my tank, left my fish alone too. No harm.

collected some of these from sea side, but them in tank, however, they really really liked to climb out of the tank...even to a few metres away overnite.... In the end, had to bring back to sea side...

Look for the above skimmer for 1.5 ft tank. With pump or without. Or other low profile skimmer, FOWLR

Juz bought 2 turbo snail...they are eating algae...slowwwwwly..... Present Cleanup crew. 2 x turbo Future plan. 1 x sea urchin 1 x Algae Blenny [all blenny eat algae?]

icic, thanks for the quick reply. K, would try the urchin and abalone if I could ever find one. Yummy, errr...I mean..wow. Kind of afraid that the hermit eat up my cute tiny 1 cm tube worm.... Any type of starfish to recommend? would it gobble up my cleaner shrimp? Find brittle starfish a bit...hairy....eee.. Future plan. 1 x sea urchin

Thanks for the reply. Is sea hare easy to keep? any wierd habits? haha. Would try the hermit crab too, is it the blue legged one? Might get one urchin too, thanks dude. Btw, urchin eat purely algae, neeed to give it pieces of prawn meat?

Happy new yr. Hi guys. Needed some advice in introducing some livestocks which eat algae... Doesn't really have a big algae bloom, but couple of patches here and there on my life rocks. Apart from turbo snails, any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.

thanx guys for ya help. Using a skimmer now. Btw, a LFS told mi to be careful when using carbon as a filter medium, he say that put in tank too long, fish would madi......is there any certain brand which is preferable? Types of carbon? thanx ya guys for all the help

thanks for the replys guys. Doing my new tank cycling now, added two dead prawn, and live rock. btw, do I need to on the pump and filter to supply oxygen? [got some biohome inside it too] thanks!! Ps: read the websites but nv stated need to use filter or pump while cycling...

My house near the sea, is it possible to use pure sea water for my tank?
