simithi butterfly-fish, known to be collected off Pitcairn island needs an influx of new migrants to sustain a declining population. anyone interested? http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2013/12/16/pitcairn_island_an_idyll_haunted_by_its_past.html -

Some recent catches.... Old Woman Angelfish
petrel replied to Narcosis1's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
if it is not endangered, & does not look like a regular Apolemichthys Kingi, i have a strong feeling... Many rare fish lover from Asia watching over this forum is ready to go into action. some guys would be willing to pay double the price to get it over if there at any slim chance. Digiman would you agree? http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/links/154809/0 -

Reefers should go a step further into the hobby

guys don't be dishearten, u don't see it happening does not mean is not there.. many sps keeper like myself does not participate actively in forums. in sps keeping , setting a high standard is paramount. it's boils down to 2 things discipline & more reading. in 2003,my first reefing material was " anthony calfo",< book on coral prog.>. in fact every now & then , i pick it up & read between the lines. getting the concept right is especially important in times of adversity. during the 2005 aqua-rama, i ever ask him what do you think is better. he openly says "change water ". well , as for me that is my key to success. Forget about expensive equipment, get what your bugdet can afford. paying more is not necessary a must. as most of the stuff that i use belong to the DIY class. Give our local talent a chance. in 6 years i can come close to this, if i can do it , so can you. keep it up.. i went to bali & went snorkelling in coconut island ( can't remember) / the table acro. amaze me. i will challenge myself to get there. here a picture , i like to share with u guys.
