  9. Not sure where to post this... so here it is For those who are interested you got 2 years to prepare MARINE NANO CUBE COMPETITION TO BE LAUNCHED AT AQUARAMA 2013 Without doubt, the Freshwater Nano Tank Competition launched at Aquarama 2011 was an outstanding success, attracting a steady flow of trade and public admirers throughout the four-day event. These pint-sized, predominantly cube-shaped, set-ups have become extremely popular in recent years, and all the signs are that the trend will continue well into the future. For our part, we will be helping this popularity along by staging what we hope will be an even better Freshwater Nano Tank Competition at Aquarama 2013. On the marine side, the ‘Nano Revolution’ has taken a slightly different, but totally logical, direction. For a start, the tanks are larger, owing, primarily, to the more stringent needs of marine organisms when compared to freshwater ones. Secondly, marine nanos are not usually referred to as nano tanks, but as nano cubes – a self-descriptive label. The main characteristics of these aquaria are a cubic shape, frequently with a bowed front, and a hood with in-built lighting, plus filtration/aeration equipment incorporated into the overall design – though there are exceptions to this general format. Visitors to this year’s Aquarama will have seen numerous spectacular examples of these nanos, some bow-fronted, others with flat front panes, some with in-built lighting units, other with independent ones. Every indication points in the direction of a further surge in the popularity of these set-ups which, properly maintained, open up exciting new possibilities for the keen marine aquarist. Ever-conscious of modern trends and the desirability of incorporating these into Aquarama in order to stimulate both consumer and trade interest, UBM is delighted to announce that the 2013 edition will include the launch of a Marine Nano Cube Competition to run alongside the already well established and hugely popular Marine Tank Competition. Planning is already under way for this brand-new competition and the relevant entry requirements and judging criteria are being drawn up in collaboration with our colleagues at Singapore’s Marine Aquarium Association. Please refer to Aquarama’s website, www.aquarama.com.sg for further news and updates!

  13. Hi Larry, or u can walk in to any light shop and tell them u're looking for a e27 clipon holder, I'm looking for the stand type Which seems to be even more difficult to find compared to the clipon type
  14. yes that's a place with many good read, and you can find many info from the "experts" in the forum as well
  15. Not enough height cox I'm using the nano space 36L They need at least 18-24 inch of height, nano space only 14 inch height, since u work at Qian Hu I'm sure they have taller tanks. And since it's only 2 pairs, a 1x1x2ft tank is enough if u can go 1.5x1.5x2ft even better still... I'm already considering upgrading my SH nano space LOL Equipment wise, if u wan them to breed u'll need a chiller or at least a fan to bing down the temp... Other den that u can actually use a hang on back filter or an external canister filter... But of Coz If can go with a sump... Lights normal T5 is enough but must have blue light...
  16. LOL Larry, can't help it, I'm still fresh from the planted tank side
