Hi fellow reefers, may I know what is this algae that seems to leech onto my chaeto and stopped it from growing. The whitish part seems to feel like those plastic bag which we used for packing food (slimy with plasticky feeling). Photo period in sump purely for the chaeto is about 12 to 14 hrs. Any clean up crew/ fish to eat them? I have some turbo snails which bred in the sump but they don't seem to consume them. Any advice is appreciated.

Sorry, Jane. Just saw your post. My shrimp was greedy and loves coming towards my hand. So I managed to grab it. They seem to be attracted to food and will "attack" the food. Try a net with food in it.? Good luck!
