  3. Bro me no expert I've been using dead LR since day 1 and until now no problem. Only bought some live rock to kick start caroline growth. I prefer to start cycle with dead rocks because no pest, no algae to worry later, the only thing is the rock have no caroline algae but it grow if you good water parameter. As for bacteria that's the reason you need to cycle the tank. Just 1 question to you what are worries. ps this is only IMHO
  4. I got all my piping from here Hong Seng hardware No. 131 Tyrwhitt Rd Tel. 62983055 They have the whole range of PVC pipes even US Standard piping. Call them 1st before going down just incase they don't have what you looking for. If you are into DIY go further up to French Rd below the HDB flat lots of stuff.

Normal turn over rate for your tank you can use 3500 to 4000 l/hr if you want higher then can go for 6k or 6.5k. Do a search on turn over rate to find out more so you can decide which 1 you to go for.
  6. Kelantan lane is the best place to get them.
  7. Yes bro that's hair algae and and the answer you can get from the other thread another reefer asking the same question.
  8. Left 40kg of live rocks including tonga sticks caroline encrusted on some of them $50. sump reduce $30
  9. Hi Claude If you want to use in a new tank then wait till Live Rock is inside and then make the sand in the tank So it's better to cycle the live rock before putting the sand in is this correct. You can use it with the Water inside I don't understand but never do Live Rock direct in the Sand I don't understand I'm interested to find out what you trying to explain don't really know about arroganite sand
  10. Yes bro no problem, I put it in a bucket because I put my skimmer at the same compartment.
  11. No sandbed in my sump some rocks and chaeto in a small bucket.
  12. Bro no pic how to identify, if pods its good for tank but if it's nudibranch then you should kill it. Do a search on pods and nudibranch so what action to take.

    Chaeto

No problem but must on the light 24/7 or reverse photoperiod (on the light at night). If you using a low wattage light growth will be very slow that's what I encounter. As long as the chaeto not dying it should be OK.
  14. Wow any pic to show your current set up
