My PLs are 28Ws. 1 blue and 1 white.

Does any one know if got special requirement for this anemone? I got two PL tubes for lighting and chiller and good filter system. What do I feed it? tanks.

I have been using powerheads to circulate water around the tank, but the suckers that attach the powerhead to the wall of the tank always fail and the powerhead drops down and mess up the sand bed. Am I the only one with this problem and is there any lasting solution for it?

Hi, Don't know you personally, but appreciate that you are the one who set up and now maintains this site. Obviously, Michael has his own agenda (commercial, no doubt) in running you down so that he can promote his own marine seminar and his associates' products. That's plain for all to see. Suffice to tell him that he can organise whatever he wants, and you can organise what you want for SRC. Its a free-ish world. So, other than rebutting what he says about SRC, I feel that there is really nothing worth saying further to someone like that. Although, I must confess, it's hard to stay quiet when he slimes SRC and you in this fashion.

I took it apart to have a looksee. The wires all look well insulated but the ballast is riveted to the metal casing. maybe that is the problem,??

I just bought a light hood from a large LFS. When I switched it on, i noticed that when I run my hand along the body of the hood, i get a mild electric "shock" sensation . Is this common? Should I return it to the shop?

Its kind of like a planted tank, but marine. The algae also act as biofilter for the softies. Green one I know is caulerpa. Don't know what the brown and red algae species are, although I think i've eaten the red one before - bought from isetan supermarket they all appeared after I put in a tablet of aquapharm instant bacter.

This is my re-arranged tank. Its only 2ft.

I am growing "grape" caulerpa in my 2 footer, just wonder if I have to cut away the older parts of the plant as more new shoots are coming out, so that I can prevent the algae from dying in the tank and poll uting the water?

Not a nice xprience to have major wipe-out. I had similar episode when nudibranchs (which I shouldnt have bought) died in my tank. Personally I am against putting any chemicals into the tank in general. Even iodine and phosphate removers can kill. Some additives are ok, others are suspect.
