  1. Today is a worrying day for me. It is like your wife in labour and you are outstation not knowing what is happening. Luckily, the water clears out, the hammer stop it nasty act. Hope that is the end. Thanks bros for the advice and jokes.
  2. Almost like this, but the output is more watery. Mine is like when you use a siphon to target feed your coral with marine snow.
  3. Help !! I needed Help !! My Hammer coral is spraying white liquid into the tank. I did my regular water change last sunday as usual and later at the night I notice that my water is milky. Quickly I changed 20% of the water and measured my water parameters, all are ok but even with 20% water change, the water in the tank remains milky, but with slight improvement. I was dead beat by then.. 12midnight.. so I pray it will recover tomorrow. Next morning, I checked my tank again and the water clears up, reliefed I want to work, but I do notice that my yumas and frogspawn ddi not open up as usual. When I reached home later in the night, I found the water is milky again! To my horror, my frogspawn is dead and my Yumas are closed up !! Again I did an immediate 20% water change, then I notice that the hammer is the culprit. It is randomly spraying white liquid into the tank!!! I saw in some documentary film, corals does spray out millions of eggs at certain season, is that what happening to my hammer?? Or it is actually under stress and releasing toxis? My Frogspawn is placed out of reach from the hammer and my only fish (a clown) is having no effect and living normally. Again, water parameter is normall. The hammer and Frogspawn has been my latest addition about 2 months ago and during these period, both live happliy togehter. What is happening?? My protein skimmer is skimming so much bubbles, I have not seen it work this way before. I have been keeping marine fish and some coral for 2 years and never have I seen this kind of things happening.. I am at a lost... any advice seniors?
  4. Thank you everyone who has shown interest in adopting my baby. It has found a new home in a 4ft tank. Thank you.
  5. I have it since it was only 1cm length, a small baby. Now it is about 3cm length. Healthy and feeding well. Have to give it away as it is not getting popular with its neighours, my tank is too small to give it enough room to roam. PM me if you are interested. Collection Senkang or Punggol MRT.
  6. Thanks for the advice. Pardon me from been Shua Ku, what is AZ Nitrate?? Is it a brand? What is the full name and where could I buy it from. My tank size is 1.5ft x 1ft x 1ft.
  7. High temperature and nitrate level is what I have expected as well. My fan dead on me last month and I am too busy to replace it, the tank temperature went up 3-4 degrees for a month, last week I have changed the fan and the temperature is now about 28-29 degrees. But I just could not get the nitrate level to reduce. My ammonia is 0 , nitrites is <3mg but the nitrate is off the scale! I have added denitrate removal media (Seachem) for a month and changed the carbon media but it just does not goes down and I am changing about 50-40% of the water but still could not solve my nitrate problem. As for lightings, not so sure what is the rating, but it has been with me for a year and the mushroom were booming when I added these set of lightings. BTW, can recommend any chiller for my tank, the fan is creating alot of water vapour causing my table to be covered with a layer of moisture every day. My tank is only 1.5 ft x 1ft x 1ft.
  8. Recently I notice my mushrooms are turning transparent !!! Not one but all... I believe it is due to my nitrate level. It has gone up to a very dangerous level and eventhough I changed 50% of the water, it still shoot back up within a week.
  9. Ok here i is what I have so far: I have only a 2ft tank and currently it is stock up with a yellow tang (philippine tang), a clown and a cleaner shrimp. There is a "landscape" of live rocks too, I also have sand at the bottom of the tank. I have some mushroom in there and it has been surviving for months now. I have a PH in it to help water circulation and a canister filter. For lightings I have is a simple Blue and white tube kind of lamp, not sure what is the spec of it, got it from the LFS 6 months ago, I keep it turn on for about 8hours a day. The setup is coming to about 1 year old. So far manage to keep the temperature at 29 degree. Please please suggest those that is easy to keep (of course must be pretty one lah), cause I have a bad experience, which my tank crash because I gei kian try to keep an anemon.
  10. I new to coral keeping, can anyone advice me which kind of coral to keep in my tank? I am thinking of keeping zoos, muschroom, yumas, etc. Pls help suggest some easy and beautify coral to keep. Picture will help too!
  11. Recently, I notice that my tank has worms (lots of worms) I think it is brisworms, it is kind of hairy (or at least it seem to be) and about 1/4 of it body is pink the rest is black. I have try ambush it but it is faster than me. Than I tried to set a trap using a small bottle put some fish food inside and cut a hole on the bottle cap. Only able to catch a few babies, but the mother and father still wondering around. Any one has experience to share?
  12. I notice that Sim Lim Sq has been selling CPU cooler system, now a days it has be coming more complex, the other day, I just saw one that you could pump in water and the Heatsink is mounted inside this device and a fan to cool the the water. Look pretty amazing, however, the heatsink is made of copper. Has anyone ever try placing a copper heatsink to the tank or ever converted these CPU cooler system to marine tank cooling system? I heard copper is not could for corals.
  13. Anyone knows how to kill these worms??? Is there any predators that will help elimate them?
  14. Hi Guys, my tank also got worms, but my is not as scary look as what M4rk4nth has. My anemone just died, it's side seem to be scratched baddly, it was ok during the night but next morning it's dead. Does worms feed on soft corals?? Any chances that it is the worms that kill my baby anemone?? If it is I am going to kill them one by one like what M4rk4nth did. Btw, can anyone identify this worm??
  15. These alges only start blooming after I have added the white light to the tank, but I cannt remove that as I notice my corals are starving for light. By the way what is FR??? Fusion Reactor??? Other than sea hare is there other marine creatures that I could keep to contain the alges problem? Advice is very much appreciated.
