  1. Are you setting up a tiny nano tank too?
  2. It's 1.5 kg.. I had to break the original rocks with a hammer as they were too big for the tank. I found lots of bristle worms and crabs inside. Anyway, I believe there were even smaller tanks on nano-reefs.com.. that's where I got the inspiration from. With something this size there's no room for skimmers, so I'll rely on water changes. I will not be using fans, as evaporation in this size will be drastic. I plan to minimize heating by raising the lamp high above the surface. Polyps on the live rock have started to open already. I hope that's a good sign.
  3. Ya.. too many rocks, so I'll be splitting it into 2 tanks. I plan to keep just worms, polyps and maybe some soft corals. No stony corals, because I want to use just 10w at the max. Are there any places selling low wattage actinic tubes? PL 9w or lower?
  4. Hi, interested in your hygrometer. Where can we meet?
  5. Is anyone interested to collect copepods this coming Saturday? I'd like to seed my tank.
  6. I'll go and look tomorrow. Does the auntie know what I'm looking for if I tell her 'clip light'?
  7. $2+? No kidding? Is it the kind with an internal ballast that works wil PL tubes? I plan to use it with a 9-13 w PL tube.
  8. I'm looking for a clip light for a small tank... I need something around 20 cm in length or less, and able to hold 1 13w PL tube. Something like these: Does anyone know where I can get one? It doens't have to be specific for fish tank use.
  9. Suppose I have a 10w filter, and a 15w lamp. How do I calculate the monthly cost of running these 12 hours a day?
  10. Where do you stay? I'm looking for rock rubble.. about 5-10 cm in diameter. Is your rock about this size?
