Went to the LFS over the weekend and they didn't have what I wanted in stock. So...instead of settling I'm going to wait until I get back from Myanmar May 2nd and LFS owner said they would have what I want in store. Water parametres are stable since the 20% water change over the weekend. I will follow up with a 10% water change on May 3rd when I return from my trip test water a start stocking. Any recommendations for best places to get marine fish and good selections of afforable frags in sg? Keep you posted on the stocking plans...

Hello, I got a SICCE Voyager Nano 1000 last week. I used it for a day on my 10g IM Fusion but I do not like the look of it. I'm interested in trading for a Tunze Nanostream 6015 as a I like the look of it better.

So... here we go! I've been reef keeping since 2006. Had a 12g Nano Cube back then. Got it all up and running for 7-8 months and then crashed due to my lack of patience (slow and steady shall win the race this time). During my extremely long hiatus I've been lurking, learning and admiring all your amazing tanks. I'm now settled and working in Singapore and seeing as it's my birthday this month, I figured now is as good a time to start as any This weekend I popped into a highly recommended local LFS (Fresh N' Marine) and picked up a package deal with the following: My Tank Specs Display: Innovative Marine 10 Gallon NUVO Fusion Nano all-in-one aquarium, 12" x 15" x 13" Lighting: Innovative Marine 18x Skkye Light Clamp LED Light Heater: None I live in Singapore it's 90+ Degrees all the time Chiller: Above ^ Circulation: Stock NUVO Fusion return pump, SICCE Voyager Nano 1000 Skimmer: Innovative Marine Protein Skimmer Desktop Size Filtration: Innovative Marine Custom Caddy Fusion 20 Media Basket Filter Media: Prodac Filter Wool (Cut to Size), BOYD Chemi Pure, Top Off: Manual for now .... will consider if necessary Once I got back from the LFS to my Apartment, I went galavanting around Singapore looking for a proper stand for this thing. After checking a couple corousell ads I managed to find a nice dark wooden cabinet with glass doors that fit the bill. Getting it home was a bit of an adventure. Was ALOT heavier than expected. Lugging it down 2 flights of stairs didn't help either Once outside I Booked 3 Ubers...none of which the cabinet could fit inside. However, lucky Uber number 4 was large enough for it fit inside. Total cost $45 SGD including transport and a free workout...not bad. Now...after all this rambling I'm sure you'd like to see some photos! So please see below: Questions Is my back chamber water level too high? (See photos below) Skimmer -- I've never used one before. Should It be running during the cycle? White hair like tentacles sticking out of LR - Friend or Foe? (see photos below) Live Sand In...The cabinet looks good. Time for some Aquascaping Going for a small tunnel effect..may need more LR we shall see Light on and filled up with saltwater and no leaks Water level in back of tank with the skimmer...too high? Hi all i have been lurking on these forums for a while know and wanted to say thanks to all the help and abundence of information provided in these forums. This is my second attempt at starting up this tank the last time i went way to fast an didnt take my time and within a few weeks the tank crashed. Also i just moved to singapore and figured now would be the time to try again. So here it goes. The tank is a 12g nanocube DX stock lighting with 12lbs of "cured" LR and 15-20lbs of live "cured" sand. Filtration Chamber 1 Filter floss (chane out weekly) Chamber 2 Empty at the moment Chamber 3 Maxi-jet 1200 It has been up and running for 3 weeks here are my params Temp 78-80 F Salinity: 1.023-1.024 Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 5ppm The cycle completed in 2 weeks so this is the first week after the cycle w/ a clean up crew of 5x snails and 5x hermits and 1x skunk cleaner shrimp. The diatom is almost all gone there is still some left on the sand which you can see from the pics, but i cant seem to get these nitrates to 0ppm. I did a 50% water change at the end of the cycle and i am doin 20% water change weekly. I dont want to make the same mistake i made last time and rush things, before i put anything in this tank. Any ideas as to how to get these nitrates down? Also i am currently useing marin aquaria as my lfs and am very pleased so far with their service and the quality of what i have gotten from them so far. But i have not been able to find an lfs that sells chaeto so if anyone is willing to give some away or sell it i will be more than willing to pay please PM me with info. Also i am looking for some coral frags for this tank, do the lfs have frags or will i have to get them from my fellow reefers? Thanks alot and all comments/ criticism welcome Fishman011

hey guys i just arrived in singapore from miami and must say its way different than i expected, but all in all im gettin used to the change and im beginning to like this place alot. before i left i purchased an 06 12g nanocube but was never able to set it up because i did not have the time. I was wondering as to is it goin to be worth setting up or are the transformer+adapter going to be worth more than the tank. Also if any1 could point me in the rite direction as to some lfs's so i can get started on my sw adventure. Thanks Alot all responses greatly appreciated
