  1. There could be multiple reasons, just monitor them closely. Matthew
  2. Yes, I would think that too. I rather have external overflow system directly to the sump or skimmer. I think that way works for me, unless there is a better suggestion. Thanks. Matthew. BTW, I still have not get the shop details...
  3. Greetings, I do suggest you to reconsider what you are doing, no point risking those livestocks, like most others, you do not want to risk your child for experiments do you? Act according and learn most out of it before you put it to actions. Matthew
  4. Greetings, Generally, there should not be any problem, however, if you do notice some health issues with your hammer coral, you might consider ways to remove the barnacles. From what you described, it is likely to be barnacles. More helpful if you could post a small pic of it. Matthew
  5. Greetings, Please remember to cover your tank if you wish to have Octopus, as they might escape. In no time, you will not expect them to execute their escape plan. Matthew
  6. Greetings, Maybe, you would like to PM me on where to get them. I am already planning to start my small tank. It is like, after 2 years of break, and I am very keen on starting one again. By the way, what is ISO? Thanks. Matthew
  7. Greetings, Why not steaming them and eat them? LOL Matthew
  8. Greetings, While it is good to ask question, but I suggest your focus is not to find out what to keep, but to ready your tank first, remember, you don't want to use livestock as "test". Get all your equipment set up first, and start the tank cycling. As as many questions as possible, if you prefer to save some bucks instead of experimenting. Matthew
  9. Greetings, As advice, please spread out the mixing dripping time. It will safely help to ensure that both chemical does not interfear with one another. Thus, achieving its best benifits. Matthew
  10. Greetings, Just to share, SERA is such a pain to use. But however, those other products are mostly up to your own preference. All you have to make sure is to have good practice that you do not contaminate the testing solutions. Resealing immediately after use is just another example of safe and accuracy practice. Matthew
  11. Greetings, The anemone looks like a long tentacle. Clown fish are very territorial too. Please describe the size of your tank, and also, if you could, (since you are having 2 difference spicies of clown fish), get another anemone. This is true provided if you are able to determine the reason of your died anemone, and by making sure your tank is big enough to support another anemone. Remember, finding out the key factor of the death reason is the key to better tank. Matthew
  12. Greetings, I do agree that it could not be the bubble coral. Try checking the water perimeters and also other unwanted inhabitants. Matthew
  13. They are everywhere in Singapore. You could get from those monsoon canel mouth like Api Api Pasir Ris or Sengkang and Punggol too. For those living in the west, you guys could get it from Kranji.
  14. Greetings, Please try to reposition it and make sure that it receive sufficient lights. The "Green" stuff within the coral are actually algae living in it. They need light to survive and help the coral too. Read up more on Algae & Coral relationship to further understand this. Matthew
  15. Greetings, Coralline Algae is like the building foundation of a reef system, you have to ensure that it survive BEFORE putting anything else to your set-up hell. There are lots of ways to do it. Make sure you choose one and stick with it. Please do not put livestock to "test" unless you are really sure your tank is able to support live. Again, our coral reef is dying, please do not add to the killing. Matthew
