detaching themselves....for hammer and octo...they wun detach themselves like mushroom or polyps... it's mostly causing a meltdown soon...very bad... LPS is large polyps stony...the stony word is not put there for fun de.. they need the base as it is part of them...tthat's their skeleton...ur current could be too strong... maybe place it somewhere else... i nv heard of any hammer or octo which will detach themselves to find a new base...hahah.. they ain't anemone nor mushroom...:S good luck then.

hahahaa..no la.not rich la, i am a poor guy...now got budget airline wat or maybe someone can check me in.hahha.. only just imagining flying there to get a few fishes... abit crazy le...the money not worth it... but it's just like that in this hobby when u can get things u want, u can even dream of flying to HK. :S this hobby can drives u crazy something. like sometimes i do wish to go to maldives and hawaai to catch some fishes.hahahaha.. this hobby gives u the wildest idea.hahaha.. getting the distribution right will be the only reason if i am to fly there or for vacaution. fly there to buy a few fishes is like flying to australia to eat strawberries and salmon. I went to taiwan before and that is really a nice place. but went to taipei and dun know the way there so cannot go get find. hahaha...thanks. target feeding sun corals is normally equiped with a syringe or some straw or tube...defrost it and feed it to them... the cubes contains small and big particles so ur fishes will devour the bigger particles..while LPS and SPS will take in the smaller particles and plankton in the mix too.. In my above statement, I didn't claim that it will feed sun coral such that u dun need to target feed them becos it's not possible for any food product in the market to do so. Any food product which claim so seriously posed a great threat to the whole system of the tank as they basically use the idea of flooding the water with food and it can pose a serious problem in the long run... X-factor and X-factor nano is made in such a way that flooding doesn't take place and each cube is just the right amount for ur tank. Right amount for ur corals and fishes... and the particles are made it such a way to facilitate faster breakdown of uneaten food instead of having big bits slowly decomposing and posing a great threat to ur tank system. For underground gravel filter, the uneaten food can sip thru ur DSB easily when compare to other products. and those using only a DSB, uneaten food can be breakdown faster by ur bacterias and not worrying abt long term bioload problems. Many have tried the product and it doesn't caused skimmer to overactivate too. for sun corals, it will be good to target feed them with X-factor using a funnel. Hey guys, got two friends went over to HK and China. If i am not wrong, can bring back fishes... wat fishes should i get ? any recommendation ? I am asking them to bring back black tang, purple tang, flameback angel... did i miss anything out ??? hahaha...any suggestions ?

how long have u been using the seio pump ? just to let u know that if u just add in recently, it's quite common if ur starfish or anyother ls get caught in it.... cos in nature they dun know wat is pump and dun know that thing u put there is dangerous so naturally will get injured by it... but overtime, they will learn that current is strong there and wun get near there... that's wat i know from experience... so even when u add in new pump, ur ls will also encounter this kinda thing, they will get used to it...monitor is important.... one tip for u is that...when u add in new pump or have any problem with ur pump... try to on in for only a few hours initially and on in longer when time to come for ur LS to adapt. Hopefully can help...

hahaha....when it rusts, it's really ugly...u dun have to wait till 4 years to upgrade. when it rusts, it will stain the floor and wall de...so i still advice u to spray it first. IT'S FOR THE SAFETY OF UR FURNITURE AND LS >.< how fast it rust depends on how much water u expose it to.... putting in LS weekly and water changes and caused it to rust in a few months time..

hahaha..sweet... guess u need good water parameters, u need to get it feeding plus a good specimen for it to be alive ba. Or maybe u can share with us wat u feed ur cleaner wrasse or how u take care of it...or maybe u got a good specimen. cos alot of these cleaner wrasse are very poorly handled.

o gosh....after months still water still unclear...then ur whole filter system already fail. u may wanna change ur filter medium....u got a sand bed ? and is the tank properly circulated ? with good circulation, filter and sand bed, the dirt should get trapped and clear up with days not months. Very tricky here if u dun wanna use chemicals....but why ?

a nano tank is actually good...but i dun recommend or consider it cos u will find it too be too small in the future especially when u just start up in this hobby, u will soon be like "hey, this is nice. Get this. Hey. that one also nice. Get that one also." Then....hahaha... no space le.. wat's the aspect of ur job in the first place ? if u dun have time for maintainence, a nanotank will be good. But from experience, ppl with 3ft tank will soon change to bigger tank too... the nanotank is a good idea but it depends on ur need and wat u want from the hobby in the first place. If u just wan a touch of it, then a nanotank will do.

Hey bros out there, just wanna know wat price u can get for a 3' 2.5' 2' tank of 10mm or 12mm.. Cos the quotation I get is $400... becos they need to custom-made it. Anyone know where to get any lower price which is not ready-made. ANy glass shop ? If price comfirm alot lower, pass me the no. a 3' 1.5' 1.5' of 6mm only cost $60. But sad to say that these days the price of tank is increasing when compare to few years back. Let me know la.thanks.

Just saw this post...wanna speak justice for this shop. Firstly I think it's not really right to start a poll to start speaking ill abt a shop which is alone managing a high rental fee. And surprisingly, many of the reefers do know that. in the first place, when someone open a shop, they do want to earn money and who doesn't ? what we are doing here may be right in alerting the newbies but a lot of unnecessary comments are been fired at this shop. And again, If u find that it's too expensive, u can choose not to buy from them. I understand that they are not knowlegable in handling marine fishes and I live in the region as i do often see their tank when patronizing TM. But it's the responsibility of a starter or anyone who wants to start marine, to have at least enough knowlegde before starting. Agreeable ? You wun buy a car when u dun know how to drive right ? Seriously, isn't it better to tell newbies to start reading and lookup on information before starting then creating a commotion over a shop. And it's not that nice to tok behind their back since we are affecting the sales and at the same time, he doesn't realise his mistake and can't feedback on his shop. Right ? I am a resident of the region and do find his prices higher than other shops. But the shop owner is very nice, He offered me really good prices when I often get a few stuffs from his shop. Like the test kits, and stuffs....the price is high becos of rental fees but one thing better is the service attitude. He doesn't give u the attitude like "hey, u can afford then dun buy." Even that he is not knowlegable but is good to tok to. U can get a good price if u bargain with him. Even if it's not as good as some other shops in term of price. But u must know that even if u buy a piece of clothes, the price in the normal HDB shophouse cannot be compared to Orchard Road or other departmental stores. Pls guys, at least give a clap to this shop's good service. I rather spend a bit more on a shop with good service and attiude, then spend my money on a shop with poor staffs and bad attitude. Let us encourage this kinda service quality in view of Singapore future as a tourism attraction. You wun wanna bring ur overseas friends to a place which gives ppl bad service right ?hhahaa.. and for watever mistakes they make, it is nice for u who is more experience to highlight to the shopowner. Just my viewpoint here and I am not related to the shop at all...
