  1. hahhaa...that's why i was looking for someone who knows how to take care of it before passing it to them strictly.

haha...by my final decision is to look at it...and very sad to see it into the drain...

bye medusa, i miss u....

    thread closed.

medusa too poisonous to keep so i dun recommend anyone keeping it.

the problem is that it is too soft and weak just like jellyfish and worst part is that it's very poisonous. lucky my corals and shrimps survive...

so anyone who came across this thread, pass down this message to everyone.

unless u dun have a powerhead in ur tank, dun try to keep medusa and even if without a powerhead, it can still release poison when stressed.

  2. diy to needlewheel..not really effective one...

ur skimmer should run with one pump..and u must see if urs is con or countercurrent.

    not recommended to do so...

cos let''s break up and look at the situation here...

    if return is 3000.

skimmer is running at 3000l/hr flowrate..u must check if u are overpowering it...

then at the output after skimming, flowrate will be depleted to 2700l/hr considering the pipe to skimmer and out...

then to ur chiller running along the connection, u will reach it at 1500 to 2000l/hr.

it might reach it underrated in the end.

and one more thing is during maintainence..if u off ur skimmer pump(return), ur chiller will stop working and that means the whole system will be broken down and stop working.

and the next part is connection...how are u going to connect them..u can use a pipe tightener but there goes ur effort and a clap for that when u are doing maintainence... u will understand if u try it out...

something wrong with chiller = to something wrong with skimmer.

u wanna risk it ? hahaha..

  3. Got a medusa cucumber...it's very nice and super hardy.

abit too hardy to believe it's true...cos the powerhead ate half of it and now it is in a pail perfectly alright for a day... :pinch:

sea cucumber is very venomous..all of them will secrete poison..

wat happened is that my current is too strong for it and the powerhead ate it..

then my tank crush...i just finished changing all the water...all the fishes died.

it's good for small system with low current and tank with little fishes or little aggression as

    it may secret poison.

medusa worm is one of the softest cucumber i ever had. it's quite similar to jellyfish.

giving to another who have the ability to keep it.

    collection in tampines. :P

i have clearly stated all the dangers in keeping one so whoever takes it, u are already informed so i wun bear any responsibilites for any demise of ur livestock.

take it at ur own risk.

or else will keep looking after it until it turns me into a stone....-_-

  5. it's molting..just part of nature...nothing is wrong.. unless u see the flesh...then that will be a diff. story.

molting means it just change its shell...

normally the gender can be change during molting and it occurs once every2 to 3 weeks.

or even more if u have the iodide level at optimum.

it's a way for them to grow bigger...so if u keep on feeding them, they will grow bigger and molt more often...mine molt every week.grow very fast.

    good luck.
