  2. Ode To Joy By Beethoven Optical illusion.Watch the centre of the circle.Don't worry no tricks here to scare you away. But the effect is cool!!!
  3. I usually cycle by throwing in fish food inside the tank.I just use freshwater fish food(because i feed my neon tetras with the food) as they're cheap.
  4. Mine is 60 ppm.I think it's due to the old copper pipe i guess....
  5. Hmm i am going to check my current tap water quality....
  6. I usually put a very slow rate so in 5 mins time only little is filled in the pail(Those big red pail).I put the slowest rate(not dripping) my tap could go
  7. Saw some mini croceas at Pasir Ris the shop in front of ah beng.Ah Beng also has some maximas.
  8. Ahh i thought they won't throw up everything back in the water.I think bro kikobananas need to reduce the flow rate as from what i heard that the faster the water flows, the faster the resin deteriorates.
  9. Wow 80ppm?!So much.Hmm is your TDS meter new?The resin is supposed to suck in everything cept water not release everything into the tap water .Or is it that your container have bits of salts that is why the PPM went up?The TDS meter measure salts, chlorine etc in your water.Cause usually i will clean the pail using tap water then drain the tap water and then i open the tap leading to the DI unit.
  10. I felt my block was shaking at around 6+.I see the fish tank water was also swaying to and fro. It's very strong and lasted quite long too.
  11. Went to pay GO a visit.I saw quite a few of these in the tanks.
  12. The fin looks like the freshwater fighting fish.Nice colour .I find that sea life fishes are usually pellet ready fishes.
  13. I was about to change my seio to K4 until you said that electricity was leaking
  14. Looking for mini or medium maxima or squamosa clam.Been searching for ages.....
  15. I have one brown scopas tang.It does kinda a good work but it loves to graze at its favourite spots.
  16. I saw at sea life selling small YTs.You could try to look over there.
  17. His post sure a lot of drama one .I never saw any LFS bringing in this fish before.I think he should develop Marine Fishkeeping as a hobby not a way to get $$ quick. You should try to develop it as a hobby and love your fish and your fish will love you too not some kind of a fast way to get $$$.
  18. Today is SHIPMENT DAY!!!All the marine shops just had shipment came in today just now!!!Come down and check em out.
  19. I got my PO4 reactor 2nd hand at 30 bucks.Usually 2nd hand costs around 30-60.I haven't got nitrate reactor as i find my nitrates aren't that high. But i saw the dymax nitrate reactor using the slow method one costs around 100+.Sulphur reactor i got no idea how much but i know it costs a lot more.
  20. Wah it's been a long time since i saw your tank!!!Impressive!!!
  21. I heard he imports fish from don't know where..... For that price,I rather buy a juvenile PBT.....
  22. Well you could invest in a phosphate reactor and a denitrator. The phosphate reactor is relatively cheap.Just put in the PO4 media thingy and voila in a few days the difference can be seen. The denitrator has 2 types, sulphur denitrator or the bioball one.The faster method is the sulphur one but can be quite ex but results can be seen within days.Sulphur beads needs replacement if the sulphur beads are exhausted. If you want affordable sulphur denitrator, you can get it 2nd hand from reefers in the forum under the pasar malam section. The slow but cheap is through the bioball denitrator as the Anaerobic bacteria will take its time to develop in the denitrator. This can take pretty long but the bacteria will stay in forever. If hair algae is growing,i just let my herbivorous fishes such as tangs graze on it and leave it be as it's their natural food. Hope this helps
