Hi fellow reefers, I am writing this sales post with a heavy heart. After just having started my 'upgraded' tank, a big change in my life happened... going to be a poor student. To cut the story short, I am not able to continue with marine keeping and have to go back to freshwater keeping. Thus, I will be letting go of the following items to reefers that can used them to its full potential. I will be back. just... not now. 1) VERTEX Omega 150 skimmer (Internal) $450 - Running for only 1 month. - 9.5/10 condition. No scratches. - Still got box, manual, all parts and WARRANTY from dealer. (receipt provided) 2) DD H2OCEAN Pro Formula Reef Salt $60 - 23kg Bucket. - 70- 80% Balance. - almost 1 month open. 3) HAILEA HS28A 1/10hp Chiller $100 - 1 year old. total run time 10 months +/-. - Still running well no complaints. - Best for 2ft tank and below. - DIY changed to 3 pin plug. Hi all, I've decided to keeping a marine fish tank. totally no experience in this because i only use to keep freshwater fish. I've gotten quotes from various supplier, the estimated cost for a 3 X 2 X 2 full system tank with a full height cabinet ranges from 3-4k. however, these packages does not comes with a chiller. How are the prices? am i being carroted? I want to keep corals so i guess chiller is essential?? but i dont plan on stocking too heavily on it as i'm still a newbie, so im looking at like just a few maybe 2-3 soft corals . anyway, one of the supplier quoted me 3k with no chiller, but i noticed his tanks has those soft corals im planing to keep. he explained that those are anemone and i have to hand feed them. actually what is the main difference between soft corals and anemone? i still have to feed the corals right? and it's a bit difficult for me to understand why does soft corals need a chiller but a tank with anemone do not. I bought Hailea hs-28a and been running for a month. Tonight i was feeding my fish and shocked the moment i touch the water there is a small current. And i was able to pinpoint that it was the chiller through elimination (trial and error) by removing each plug that is contact with my tank and touching the water each time i remove one plug (i know it's dangerous but i have someone on the main switch to turn the power if saw me getting electricuted) . Anyone having this problem?? Tomorrow i will call the supplier to have it replaced..

hi there.. i have 3 pumps in my ios.. one is the return pump, one skimmer and the other is chiller.. i wana use a reactor for rowa carbon and im lacking space for another pump.. it is ok if i connect the 1200ph pump to my reactor and connect to my hailea chiller 1/10hp..???
