SRC Member starfish123 Posted February 3, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted February 3, 2013 what will happen to the area where light does not hit the sps? will the polyps die or will it remain as green as the ones where there is light shining on it? Gouldian
sps frag so far doing not so well, some parts lost polyp possibly due to too much light Yo, how are you? Yes, your SPS is light shocked, this is common if they are exposed to LED for the 1st time. I am using LED too and I usually start my coral slightly lower and move them up. If I have to placed them high up from the start, I will reduce the light intensity by 50%. Hope that helps.
