cyberpig
My old skimmer's pump died again so I guess it is time to replace the skimmer. My tank is 4ft X 2ft X 2.5ft. Is a Deltec SC1455 sufficient for my tank? Keeping mostly fishes only (corals put inside keep dying after some time ). The next Deltec skimmer after SC1455 seems to be SC2060 but it is over twice the price of a SC1455.
SRC Member [V]tEc Posted October 23, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted October 23, 2013 Sc2060 will be a better choice. It all depends on your bioload. If u are keeping mainly small fishes, sc1455 is good enough.
SRC Member SunkistC Posted October 23, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted October 23, 2013 I am using SC2060 for my 4x2x2.5ft FOWLR, i think SC1455 is abit undersized(though rated 800L) if you are mainly keeping fishes especially Tangs and large Angels cause they really shit alot
