SRC Member Boonboy Posted December 2, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted December 2, 2013 Deeply fascinated by the lush colours of a coral reef, I decided to start taking reefing seriously. Quoted from an article I read, "...sensory overload, assaulted by colors and patterns...Coral reefs are unquestionably the world's most colorful places." Before I can start having these beautiful corals (or fishes or invertebrates... etc), I need to setup a suitable place to house them. I have been going through numerous tank threads and visited several reefers to admire their setups. Finally, I think it is time to start something. With limited budget, I turned to SRC - Pasar Malam for help... Fortunately, with the aid of several friendly SRC reefers, I managed to acquire the necessary equipments. As so, my tank thread is BB (BoonBoy's) Used (equipment) Setup. Let me start by saying a big "Thank you" to the SRC reefers that had made this possible for me with your equipment and/or knowledge. SRC Member Evolutionz Posted December 3, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted December 3, 2013 overkill chiller is ok. great looking set up! maybe can consider getting a 4x ATI/Delightings or Solite (individual reflectors type) T5 light set instead of using 6 aquazonic? SRC Member Boonboy Posted December 7, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 7, 2013 DIY the durso for the overflow. Elbow, T, cap & pipe (30cm) cost only $2.40! The staff was so kind that he helped me drill a hole in the cap and (machine) saw the joints to shorten them, FOC! SRC Member Boonboy Posted December 13, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 13, 2013 These GSP (green star polyps) came along with the live rock. Not sure if they are doing okay.
