I know there's 2 versions. The DC pump which can adjust the flow one, I heard shaft can break quite easily... And the controller also won't last long

The one I'm using now is the one that can't control the flow

I have dc12000. The controller is really super super ugly, but it does as the box says so I'm happy with it. I have had no jamming or pressure flow back problems with it and my shaft hasn't broken

I have a similar diablo 10500. I believe they are come out from the same factory . Please with the performance and hope it will not break down so fast. Common complaint I think is will break down after a few months

Any update on this review? For the reefers who have been using it, is it reliable?

I am using 2 x eheim 1262 and thinking to retire them and replace with this DC pump 12000. Not sure if reliable to completely replace the 2 pumps.

If really want to use Jebao then better buy 1 more spare pump to standby...

1st generation pumps proven not reliable.. 2nd generation pumps yet to be proven..

Ii I will you, I would only replace one ehiem Instead of two.

At least I know I still have one reliable pump still running in case of anything happen.

Good suggestion. I think with the China pump, it is best to either run 2x china pump, or run 1 china and 1 eheim. This will prevent disaster as chances of having 2 china pump fail will be low.

MD55 is a high pressure pump and consume a lot of electricity. I don't think u can open it up to clean also. May be u should buy another dc pump to standby or get a eheim 1262.
