Could it be the sugar that is in play here?

(We know that sugar is also one source of carbon)

He uses honey as carbon dose and soy milk for fatty acids lol. He suggest not using those milk high in sugar ones which is useless.

His pics look/are photoshopped. You can try downloading his pics and an app to adjust the contrast. You'll see the difference.

plus points about his tank are that he managed to keep his tank with lower end T5 tubes ie. Osram and Philips and with a smaller skimmer.

Anyway don't trust pics online these days. A lot of time it goes through a lot of hands to achieve a certain wow factor. Especially Taiwanese threads.

3rd day dosing 1ml. No observation this far. My parameter,

No3 0.6

Po4 0.08

Cal 410

Kh 8.4

Mg 1500

Except for Mg, all seem ok but sps doesnt color up.

Sunset milli - color brown with growth

Green milli - color hold, PE not much

Acropora all brown or no color

Monti - all have color and growth

LPS and NPS all color with some growth.

Milk dosing will cloud the water for at least 2hr even 1ml to my 2ft tank. Skimmer bubbles will be unable to form, as milk have fatty...something.

Bro, from your pic can tell your nutrients is high and potential of phosphate/silicate absorb into your live rocks. I have been through this stage for 1 year battling the hair like algaes. Only when u win this battle then the sps colours will start to show more.

I think its too soon to tell if milk has an effect yet. Also, someone mentioned to dose only soya milk or milk that has low sugar. I'm not sure if the milk you're using is correct.

Haha, agreed. The silliness in me had taken a small step to try the untested method and update to share. And i see people who swear by the system of dosing which cause hundreds of peanuts to them (which normally had many bottles), which eventually give up and decomm. My apologies that i had taken valuable space in the server. I would stop updating.

Thanks to those who offered helps.
