I have a 7ft x 2.5ft x 2.5ft. Currently using live rock n i'm very interested in the rock. How much will it cost? Will it cause my tank problem if i replace them?

Hi,

For a 7 x 2.5 x 2.5 tank the cost would be from $1,500 upwards depending on the type of scaping you like.

If its a matured tank, its better to replace the liverocks with the ceramic rocks over a certain period of time as you need the bacteria in the liverocks to remove the nutrients in the tank.

Alternatively, if you have a big sump you can move some the liverocks into the sump.

I would recommend to replace the liverocks with ceramic rocks over a period of 3 to 4 months.

My tank is done up by Aquatechnic (Alice has passed on and I have nobody to seek advice) and I have frustrated over the years because of the Slim Tall Water Input Pipe on the Left and the Big Thick Out Flow to Sump Tank Pipe on the right. (I suppose you understand what I am referring to due to your experience in this industry).

I find it a pain in the ###### to Cover up the 2 Pipes while featuring Nice Rock Scape.

Kindly advise ya ..
