Emergency: emperor angel faded after being placed in quarantine

it has ick so I placed it in quarantine but immediately it faded to a strange off white colour.

current treatment is with cupramine.

any idea what caused such a drastic change in colour?

Jialat. Pull out the cupramine if its still alive. If tmr still alive then still got 1-5% hope of making it.

hi bro. Im not a pro but i think i came across a same case when i was reading about ich. I think your water parameters for your QT is different from the main tank you took the fish from. Try to make it similar quickly and hopefully this will help

Unfortunately my emperor angel has passed on. Seems like the next one to die will be my jawfish. It's already blind in one eye. Guys hope this is a lesson to all of you. Quarantine your fish before adding.

Is it too much copper in the QT? Do you check the copper level? Always go slow on the copper level. Also check the ANN level too? Small QT tank have ANN issue , need to regular change water.
Copper is currently 0.25, while ammonia and nitrate are 0.
