White will make the whole tank brighter. Read somewhere saying the good thing about white sand is they can reflect the light so can benefit corals. Not sure if it is true

Thanks for the advice but I realized it's hard to maintain on white sand..especially brown algae start to grow..

If brown algae start to grow on sand bed, it mean not enough flow or improper flow..
