Large Angel for SPS dominated tank

Generally, smaller size of angel fish tend to be more " Well behaved " . My queen doesnt touch my GSP and clove corals, but again this will depend on luck.

If you feed your fish well, they will also have no excuse to touch your other corals lol.

LOL. i will sweat like you as well if mine helps with the algae control. Though its on lettuce diet daily... -.-

Mine is being chased around to keep itself slim and fit... -.-"

Their wastes are also for for corals?

Angel Keeper

When you have 3 x algae eating blennies, and a YT, the poos are more than enough to feed the corals...

But i do agree that Angel can provide another 'type' of poos for corals....hahaha

When I was snorkeling in Maldives, I did not see any fish nipping on SPS. Triggers, butterflies, Moorish, large angels and even parrots - none even pecked once on the vast growth of SPS. Of course surgeons didn't either. They seem to eat sponges, algae and mollusks around though.

Training is everything... As long as they are trained that pellets will drop from the skies often enough, the chances of them pecking on corals will be highly minimised.

As for angels fighting, as long as the new angel is already well fed, it can last for a few days without food even if bullied... Best way is to shift the rocks so territories are not maintained by the older angels... Another option is to put the new addition in a trap tank for a few days and always feed the rest of the fishes very close to the trap tank... This will improve socialising and once you see them not fighting with each other, it's time to let them join each other in your DT!
