lenenkie
Hi Bros Have not updated on my canister DSB yet, but so far so good. The tank nitrate have gone down to 10 ppm (1 week ago) from 40ppm. Not sure whether its the effect of the DSB, the NP reducing pellets or the water changes (minimal) thus far. The other water parameters have been stable despite addition of some live stock... Will do some water testing soon. Can someone help me decide which will be the best for a mixed reef? I plan on keeping predominantly soft and LPS corals and maybe 1-2 SPS corals (for now). A. Reef Additives: I've been given suggestions of 1. Grotech ABCM 2. Polyplab ONE - Essentially this additives aim to ensure sufficient levels of Calcium, Mg, Trace elements and KH (in the form of bicarbonate) remain available for the corals correct? B. Reef Food - This is to feed the corals? Most corals can photosynthesize, but this is a form of supplement? C. Bacteria - To ensure levels of denitrifying bacteria for nitrite and nitrate remain high in the reef tank correct? Which brand would you guys recommend? D. Doser - What do you guys use for your doser and how do you set up your doser? I'm keen on the Jebao DP-4 doser and plan to set up Ca / Mg / KH and Bacteria on the doser. What is your experience? Cheers!

lenenkie
Thanks bunster. I decided to go manual. Save money Just dose polyp lab ONE and monitor levels of consumption, and use microbacter 7 weekly. Convenience
