Remember the dark brown thing posted on 19th Oct 4pm? 2 weeks..., it's still brown but with its little tips turning purple! . 02/11/2015

Not sure on the species but if I have to guess I think it's Acropora Valida (tricolor). If anyone sure of the species, do correct me if I am wrong.

Wow very nice colors, but I don't think my setup is suitable for their care level.. Believe they are considered 'advanced' level corals?

plus my nano no space already lol

From my experience, it is not too challenging if your parameters are right. Not light demanding but can't tolerate high nitrate

Have not done any water change since the 1st batch of corals were placed into the tank. Last change due to sand was 27/08/2015

Lets see some growth for the tank.

Hello Reefers!

Iwarna is setting up a Display tank @ it's new show room! I know it's too early to post as we are still doing renovation but I CAN'T WAIT!

So some pictures to share and I will try my best to find time to post pictures weekly on the progress of the tank. We will be using the TRITON METHOD OF REEFING for this new tank setup

Iwarna's deepest tank for keeping SPS corals so fingers cross!

what's the size of wood and type of wood you use to carry load for this 1500Litres setup? just wondering about the stand's design is too basic without any additional bracing

This is really a good way to show reefer the growth by highlighting it. thank  you.

Thanks for feedback! Here's some weird Monti growth. Both colour and form. 1st pic was 23/09/2015. So it's 2 months transformation!

We used 4" by 4" thick  Chengal solid wood and the joints are L-cut so that the wood interlocked without any screws. Added screws just for reinforcement even though it is not necessary.

This type of wood and design can support  double the weight and easily  last more than 10years.

woww.. so impressive strength!! From my reading, this chengal is not easy for screw to penetrate this 4" thickness due to its solid strength.. It must be done by special screw or technique to penetrate the whole thickness
