just "dump" the corals and run. Haha pls don't follow my bad example. Will cut off base and glue when I come back in 2 weeks.

Hi guys! Am back! Miss the cool and good quality air in Germany.

Update of Singapore Triton Tank:

-  All the cultured SPS are holding on to their colours after being left alone for 2 weeks. 

- Justin has been monitoring KH very closely while I was away. He did a slight increase in dosing for the Triton solution

Today:

- we added some Aussie SPS (I think about 8- 10 pieces)

- 3 pieces of brown SPS (3 pieces) and see if they will colour up. Leftovers from last Tonga shipment. Also one chocolate strawberry fondue (sorry brown strawberry shortcake)

- Cut off the cement base of the cultured SPS and glued the SPS.

20,000 Litres coming out from these holes (4 holes in different directions). The 2 recirculating pumps hidden in the overflow box

Haha any fish that can hide there will be a cannon ball. Super strong flow of water

Review of the equipments used:
4 x Triton Lani LED. 7 inches from the water surface. I checked with Ehsan, he still using his Lani version 1 since 2011. No replacements for bulbs or fans needed (no fans for Lani LED lights). He did increase his number of Lani from the initial 9 sets (3 sets of 3) to 16 sets (4 rolls of 4)

Added 2x Wavemakers in my overflow box so there won't be dead spots at the base of overflow

Using Vertex touch screen dosing pump for Triton trace elements (mixed 3a and 3b in same container).

Added 2 x GYRE XF150 for irregular waves creation.

So flow rate of water (*excluding head loss and based on flow rate stated in the products' description). 

2 x return 16,000 lit/hour = 32,000lit/hr
2x recirculating pump 10,000 lit/her = 20,000lit/hr

2x gyre 10,000- 20,000 lit/hr = 30,000lit/hr (average)

So total water circulation flow is about 82,000 lit/hr. Hope it's enough!

Added some LPS to places I can't put SPS corals. Have to admit the current in the tank is too strong for the LPS corals. Well... Priority is given to SPS so we shall have to let the LPS strive for survival.

Gentle reminder: we are sending water to Germany Triton lab this weekend for water testing.

 

closing 27th sep 2015 6pm for this batch. 

Also sending our own tank water and will report the water test results here too.

The 1st triton test after adding corals, some fishes and 4 anemones is out!!!

Will provide the analysis and steps to carry out from test results later. Need to get some work done first. 

 

No need for water change till next triton test!  last water change date 27 August 2015 (after we tested positive and high) for silicon and vanadium during cycling period.
