SRC Member Sherilyn91 Posted October 21, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 21, 2016 AIO == Means ALL IN ONE biopellets? You mean that the cause of low nutrients? Could you share with us your water parameters? I notice you are using UV light are you still using it? AIO will reduce no3 and po4.. putting too much will cause the water nutrient to be too low..Yes still running uv but did not change the bulb so it's as if not running uv.. SRC Member Sherilyn91 Posted May 25, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 25, 2020 One thing I learn recently.. Tang will surely need seaweed / algae in their diet! Both my Purple tang and Yellow tang are at least 4 years old.. They have grown to their max size in my 3ft.. However, recently I realise their belly become sunken. I have no addition and hence infection chances quite low. After discussing with my friends, I fed them with seaweed.. It’s been 3 years since they last ate seaweed! After 1 week, they have all recovered! Should be suffering from mal-nutrition previously although they feeding on mysis and pallet..Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk agreed, especially with zebrasoma tangs from what i’ve noticed. my yellow tang and sailfin tang don’t look as fat when they get less algae in their diet, even if they seem to be eating plenty of chopped seafood and pellets Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
