SRC Member edmund_23 Posted November 3, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted November 3, 2015 After 10mth with my 40cm cube nano tank, decided to upgrade since my frenz is upgrading and pass me his tank. Actual plan was a 322 but since its free so take 422. Spec: 4X2x2ft 10mm glass with sump and cabinet. Maxspect Razor 160w Jebao WP-40 BM Curve 7 skimmer Hailea 5580L/H return pump Hailea HS66a Chiller Why its called budget becoz most of the stuffs are free. Tank set, return pump, wm are free. Good gesture from my frenz. Light is i bought in jun from a reefer, 3 for $120. Chiller my frenz sold me with a small fee. Bro price. Transport of tank set is done by sgbro for $180. Good service. Imagine they carry and go with the tank and cabinet. No dismantle needed..

SRC Member edmund_23 Posted November 6, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 6, 2015 1st week since water go in.. Hell and nightmare started.. The overflow is so nosiy.. Read up on forum and google, the easy solution is durso piping.. So i do some measure and head down to Joo Chiat to find some piping.. Haiz.. Due to overflow space constraint, all not suitable.. Give up and go home.. Next day dont give up as the it so noisy that it wake me up at night as im a light sleeper.. So head down to my neighbourhood hardware store to try luck which I'm prepare for the same outcome.. No surprise, no solution.. So i walk around the shop and saw this box with the sample fitting.. I took up and play around.. To my surprise i got a solution.. A hybrid piping.. A grey pipe with white elbow fitting.. So happy paid $1 and go home.. Fitted in and it just nice.. Didn't take a photo coz it not done yet.. Need to change the straight pipe and get a top cap.. 7th day cycling.. Ammonia very high. Nitrite 0.. 1st staging cycling going on..
