Cleaning Shrimps

If you are referring to the Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, yes they are scavengers too, so they will help eat up leftover food in the tank.

This shrimp is popular among reefers, because they not only can help "clean" the fishes of dean skin and some parasites (if the fish allow), they are part of the clean up crew too.

I've seen prices ranging from $6-$12 depending where you get them.

Yes the cleaner shrimp is one of the must have shrimp for reef keepers. Nice and active shrimps that will clean my fingers when i put my hand into the tank to shift my corals. However they get really excited when you throw in some food and will walk over your corals and will cause them to close up for awhile. Ah beng at pasir ris do sell or the shop beside ah beng also sell.

Had 1 peppermint and 2 fire shrimps. After 1 month, left 1 fire. My dottyback destroyed them. Now my 1 and only fire is always hiding. Please take note if u r considering a dotty in future.
