closed down le

Oh, does anyone know why GO closes down? Just when I thought their pricing is slowly getting reasonable.

Jeff

iwarna retail price is quite pricey.

Not pricey at all IMO if you compare regionally. Even in Malaysia and Thailand the same fishes cost higher and consumers are more willing to pay.  Iwarna has been selling too cheap for too many years as it was run more like a hobby. not as a business, as most reefers failed to realise. 生在福中不知福。

There are still cheap fishes like $1 chromis and $1 damsels. For other more exotic fishes Iwarna chooses to stick with more expensive and reliable suppliers to ensure fish quality. There will always be customers who will be more appreciative of iwarna's continued efforts to prevent diseased fish from crashing their customers' tanks.

This opinion is solely my own and does not represent iiwarna's response.

In my honest opinion... i would rather pay more for a fish that has gone thru proper quarantine procedure then go thru the same unquarantined fish 2, 3, 4 times... and having them spread diseases and parasites into the tank. Of course, you can qt your own... but i guess due to space constraints and (wives), most of us just dont have the luxury to own multiple tanks at home. Lets also not forget, the the cost of medications, food, freshwater dips, feeding... time taken to care for the fish. Lastly, the risks undertaken by lfs to hold the fish... guess whos paying for the fish if it dies during qt?

Just my 0.02... anyway this forum is all about lfs updates and sightings. Lets not discuss about price and such. Let it reef...

I've very good experiences with our LFS. Refernece to our regional, our livestock's price are generally lower. There are couple of LFS 's stock which i can basically placed in my DT right away without QT. In the recent year, i am pleased to see more exotic and rare fishes offered by our LFS especially Iwarna. Thumb up to them

Totally agreed!  If the seller charges more for the proper QT process and holding space which some of us cannot have at home, then it is a fair option.
