Wanna share my fts from the start when i started reefing until now.

This was my first ever marine tank of my life it was in june when i started reefing and here's my first fts let the pictures tell u how my reefing transform.

This is my fts around june 2016 and the tank was 2×1×1.5 and the equipment was all hang on back and eventually corals started to bleach and some died.

After that i upgrade to a bigger tank with a sump system during October the size of the tank was 2.5×2×20 inches and i find that the rock scape was not that nice so i started to change my rock scape lots of time until i finally satisfied with it.

Yup

Ok bro..u got any ATO to maintain the water level in the last compartment?

If not, wont ur skimmer working rate b affected? Plus i think skimmer sharing the same compartment with return pump might cause bubbles to ur return pump..cheers

Your foam dun look it is enough to trap the detritus. Looks like some of the water is bypassing the foam. Can see that some of the waste is already washed over to the pump compartment. If this is the case then your filter media will most likely be trapping some of it too. In the long run this will not be good for the media and the tank as well.

Yeah i do note that as alot of sump is fliter wool then skimmer after that is media and some reactor but the tank is brought from second hand and its quite cheap thou hahaha.

Looks ur sump is really limiting ur equipment placement, ur ato will kick in not due to evaporation but more due to ur skimmer drawing variable amount of water at different stage of the day.
