If ur led is not programmable then u can't really follow nature as what bro kenyee suggested. As a general guide I say start low and acclimatize ur corals to ur lights first. Min 8hrs max 12hrs. Go for 7-8hrs first for a start.

Display Tank : 36" x 20" x 20" Herbie overflow box design, Sump : 36" x 21" x 17", Frag Tank : 16” x 20” x 16”, custom built by Tank Culture.

Lightings : Ecotech  Radion XR15 Pro x 2 for Main Display Tank, Inled R80 x 1 for Frag Tank.

Chiller : Dalkin 1hp compressor with build-in drop coil.

Skimmer : Skimz Octa SC205i Protein Skimmer.

FR : H2Ocean FMR75 Fluidised Media Reactor with Hailea HX-2500 (Feeder Pump) running Rowaphos.

CR : Skimz Monzter E Series CM122 Calcium Reactor.

BPR: Marine Source Biopellet  Reactor with Continuum Reef Biopellet Fuel.

Main Return Pump : SICCE Syncra ADV 9.0 & Jebao ACQ-10000 Water Pump.

Wavemaker : Jebao MOW-9 x2 for Main Display Tank & Jebao SLW-20M  Sine Wave Pump for  Frag Tank.

Water Top Up: AutoAqua Smart ATO Lite.

Is canister a good idea for marine tanks?

Is canister a good idea for marine tanks?

I read up from this link saying it a nitrate factory and i have to wash it often.

But the media i place in was Seachem Matrix won't  anaerobic bacteria in side the media break down the nitrate?

If i set the flow to about 100l/hr?

My current setup have 3 overhead compartment.

1st Filter sock

2nd Skims ghost skimmer

3rd 2 pumps one for chiller another return pump.

No space for media that why i got another canister to support my tank bio-load.

Any feedback?

How often you wash your filter?

If just only put marine pure wash every 6months with the seawater that u gonna change。this i just a bio load no filter wool inside at all

Upgraded my biological filter

1st compartment Wool and matrix, Second Skimz skimmer, manage to squeeze in another bag into last chamber :)

Still got space for phosphate :)

WC to bring down nitrates. That should be it for my maintenance regime.
