Condensation problem

Hi guys !

How do y'all handle condensation on the outside of tank glass ?

Every single day after coming home , constantly I have to wipe off all sides front sides just to be able to see what's inside the tank .The condensation becomes heavy that it actually drips down the cabinet sides especially the back which is worst if left unattended. I meant who sees tanks from the back . I didn't take notice until I did

So now it becomes a routine and hardest portion to wipe down because it's facing the wall .so is the sump

Question 1 Should it happen ?

Question 2 Have anyone experience this ? And what is the solution ?

From my understanding, condensation appears when there is 'too large' difference between the tank temperature & ambient temperature.

Personally, my tank runs between 26-28degC. No condensation issues.

What temperature do u set your tank at? Anything lower than 26 will bound to cause constant condensation.

Yeah i tried running my tank under 24 degrees to even as low as 20 degrees. My tank sweats like free. Corals didnt seem to appreciate so i set to 26 degrees celcius and they all lived happily ever after

Water temp is set to 25 deg ,I was being a bit careful of the SPS since the were added just 2 wks ago

it's set at 25 deg. You are right about that so now I assume next step is to raise it by 1 deg to see if it solve the issue

it's clear for me now that the best way to this is to raise the temp by 1-2deg .will give it a shot

How does it effect the corals ? I haven't see any prob with them during that state ,maybe I wasn't observing them enuf to actually notice .

Condensation usually happens when your water temp is too cold and the environment temp around is too hot.

Your water temp n ambient difference is too much hence the condensation is like crazy. Adjust it to a more suitable temp say maybe 26 should be fine..

for me 26-27 no problems, but when i set to 25-26, condensation happens.
